The food was GREAT! Octopus salad was one of the best, as were the tacos and the Veal Milanese was outstanding. Wine by the glass was great as well.

About the restaurant
Welcome to Tempranillo Restaurant, where internationally acclaimed Chef Javier Gonzalez-Bringas, along with his partner and wife Laura, offer a daily menu of drinks, tapas, dinner and lunch. Gonzalez-Bringas, a Madrid Native, combines an old-world style with a new-world flair in his signature cuisine. The atmosphere at Tempranillo is notable for its rich colors, dual fireplaces, and community gathering table-all reflecting the equally rich depth of flavors and influences which are at the heart of the restaurant's origins. "Our desire is to create a brilliantly charming place in the community where people can gather and enjoy the dance with exists between the flavors of Spain and Italy"

It was our anniversary, we were seated in front of the fireplace, wonderful. Seafood appetizer wonderful. Mushroom pasta wonderful, I had cioppino, deep rich tomato broth with fennel and very fresh seafood. We finished with a Catalonia chocolate crème brûlée, so rich and creamy! After a 5 mile hike earlier we were very hungry and very happy with our great dinner. Thank you, L and C

We had a lovely light dinner at Rioja. The menu was exceptional with plenty of choices to please every palate as well as the opportunity to have a smaller portion on some of the menu items. My Tagliatelle was a great seafood dish with homemade pasta, a lovely presentation, and scrumptious sauce. The breads were incredible. There is also opportunity to sit outside in warmer weather. The best part was that the indoor environment was delightfully quiet. You could actually hear your dinner conversation without noise from other diners, even those close to your table.

Everything on the menu is mouth watering goodness. We ordered almost all of the small plates in addition to the steak and chicken and WOW (for 4ppl, one being very pregnant and hungry). What a perfectly filling and delicious dinner, finished with trying each of the 3 desserts. When they say the chocolate bar is “interesting” - it really is, in the best way! Honestly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I dream of it.
