Kensington
About the restaurant
Hidden away off of Kensington’s famed High Street, Yashin Sushi is an upmarket take on the popular open kitchen style of sushi restaurant. Seated around the central kitchen area, diners enjoy the spectacle of food being prepared in front of them, skill of sushi rolling displayed for all to see. If you can take your eyes off of the chefs, you’ll find yourself in an exceptionally modern dining room, all monochrome colour scheme and designer lighting. Yashin Sushi’s menu is made up of both traditional and contemporary sushi and sashimi, sensibly priced to reflect the extremely high quality of the ingredients that go in to every item.

Our sushi concept is “without soy sauce – but if you want to”. Of course, we can serve as much soy sauce as the diner desires; however, what we want to emphasise is the taste of the fish. Therefore, each piece of sushi that we serve is brushed with the right amount of soy sauce and topped with an accompaniment that harmonises with the flavour of t

This review is long overdue. I first came to Salloos in 1982, when my father brought me here. We stopped coming only when my father's knee made the stairs too much for him. Over the last decade i rediscovered it, and now I try to come back every few months. Each visit feels like coming home. The food is just wonderful: authentic, generous and made with real love. Qureshi Sahib is a treasure. He greets you like an old friend, remembers everything and makes the whole evening a pleasure. Munizeh Salahuddin has carried Mr Salahuddin's legacy so beautifully, and you can feel his spirit in every dish and every welcome. Fifty years in Knightsbridge, and Salloos is still the real thing. I can't imagine any new restaurant matching its warmth, quality or history. It's not just a place I eat; it's part of my family's story, and I hope it will be for generations to come.

About ROKA
The name ROKA holds deep meaning — RO represents a meeting place where food and drinks are shared with friends, while KA signifies the heat, warmth, and all-embracing energy that surrounds. The core of ROKA's cuisine is the robata grill, inspired by the fishermen of Japan's northern coastal waters who traditionally grilled their catch over charcoal on their boats and shared it using their oars.

ROKA Charlotte Street opened in 2004, followed by ROKA Canary Wharf in 2009, ROKA Mayfair in February 2014, and ROKA Aldwych in October 2014.

Tasting menu has flavours to die for. Service was second to none taking allergies very seriously from a phone call before arrival to checking and confirming throughout the meal. The team were very friendly too and my birthday mochi was a lovely touch. We've been to Aldwych previously but as they only had counter space decide to try Mayfair so glad we did. Highly recommend!

Ramen
Soho
About the restaurant
Our newest ramen bar brings the energy of Tokyo’s backstreets to the heart of Soho. With space for 80 diners, the ground floor offers a mix of counter seating, low dining tables, and group booths. You can even grab a spot by the front window to watch the busy streets of Soho pass by.

The interior stays true to form with exposed brick walls, red neon lighting, and a signature rock ‘n’ roll soundtrack. Whether you are looking for a quick bowl at the bar or a long night in a booth, we have the perfect spot for you. See you on Old Compton Street.

Fantastic meal. Booked as a pre theatre dinner before seeing Beetlejuice on Halloween thids did not disappoint. We arrived alightly early but our table was ready so we were seated without issue. The menu isn't huge, but thats a great thing. They had a childrens menu which was excellent value for money. The black pepper wings we had heard about so decide to give a go, WOW! im unsure how a simple chicken wing can carry that much flavour, amazing! 2 kids chicken ramen, 1 pork ramen and 1 spicy pork ramen for mains, honestly the best ramen we have ever eaten. Drinks were great, staff were fantastic and we finished with the macha ice cream which was to nobodies surprise, brilliant!. Great value for money, fantastic music on the playlist if you're a rocker 😉 Looking forward to returning again when we visit London again soon. Thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
