Now well into our third decade in business, Eddington’s attributes the restaurant’s success to creating flavorful and creative meals consistently using the best of Huron County’s bounty.
Owner James Eddington states “we are so blessed to be living in such an agriculturally rich area of the world”.
Although the local food movement is really starting to take off, it has always been the driving force in Eddington’s kitchen. A menu that changes frequently, as each season inspires the delicacies our region has to offer.
Eddington’s occupies the original Carling homestead (built in the 1870’s). After two major renovations, an addition of the a new dining room and a serene outdoor backyard summer patio, the restaurant has a clean and modern look while maintaining its traditional and warm feel.

We ate at the Wilks Bar again after attending a play at Stratford. What a gorgeous venue, the food was delicious and the service was exemplary! The bartender who served us on our last visit kindly remembered us and came out to shake our hands. We will definitely be back!

The menu had so many great choices and the food was delicious, but what I was most impressed with was the exemplary service, which is rare in many similar restaurants.

My wife and I love this place , it’s our go to restaurant when in town. Fresh oysters, the scallops appetizer is so good it should be illegal. I had the black cod with fingerling potatoes and my wife had the tomahawk pork chop, both amazing! And the staff? helpful, gracious and welcoming. Additionally, given the quality of the menu, staff and ambience, it’s great value! Highly recommend

We had a fantastic experience at the murder mystery dinner. The food was delicious and service was prompt and attentive. We are regular guests of Langdon Hall and were able to request drinks and things that did not appear on the drinks menu (more limited as it was an event at the Firshade space). We will definitely consider special events again in future!
