About the restaurant
The Dry Dock Waterfront Grill is a “polished casual” restaurant over looking Sarasota Bay. We are located at the south end of Longboat Key behind the gas station. We are north of St. Armand’s Circle, and minutes from downtown Sarasota. Best known for Local Fresh Grouper and Red Snapper. Enjoy the second story dining area with a panaramic view of the bay, or enjoy dining outdoors on our dockside patio.

Had an amazing birthday dinner at Dry Dock Waterfront Grill! Everything about the experience was incredible — the food was delicious, the atmosphere and waterfront view were beautiful, and the service was outstanding. Andrea did such a great job as our waitress; she was so friendly, attentive, and made my birthday feel extra special. Thank you for making my celebration such a memorable experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Relax and enjoy yourself as you savor some of the tastiest dishes the Caribbean has to offer. Growing up as a child in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands, I came to love the local cuisine and the abundance of fresh seafood on the island. Love of the Caribbean and its food have helped make this restaurant a reality. My wonderful wife, Laurie, has a passion for Southern cooking and you will find a splendid southern twist in the menu, such as the Kentucky Hot Brown, Corn Pudding and Fried Green Tomatoes.

All our food is made fresh daily. The herbs used in our delicious dishes are grown in our garden here at the restaurant. We invite you to tour the garden and allow your taste buds to be teased by the scent of parsley, basil and rosemary and walk our boardwalk to see what’s jumping.

We had an amazing Mother’s Day dinner for four at Farlow's On The Water! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was relaxing, beautiful, and perfect for celebrating. Our table enjoyed the grouper, the steak special, and the shrimp and grits — and every dish was absolutely delicious. The grouper was fresh and perfectly prepared, the steak special was cooked exactly right and full of flavor, and the shrimp and grits were some of the best we’ve had. The service was friendly, attentive, and made the evening even more enjoyable. Thank you to the staff for helping make Mother’s Day so special for our family. We will definitely be back!

Our reservation was for a table of 8 for former classmates who hadn't seen each other in years. Our food was delicious and served promptly. The restaurant did not rush us as we caught up and visited with each other. We are planning to do it again next year. Thank you.
