The food and service were excellent. The restaurant was busy as expected on a Friday night and we were seated close to the bar so it was noisy. My only complaint is that after making a reservation ahead of time for four people, it would of been nice to be seated at a nicer/quieter table. However, we were seated promptly. Overall, a good experience!

Our server was very short, not personable at all. Yet she greeted someone else and was warm & friendly. Not sure of the issue but it was noticed by my wife as well. Hibachi steak was very tough. We usually have a great experience but this one was subpar.

The meal was good. Nothing that would wow you but nothing terribly egregious either. The venue appeared to be in a state of disrepair. Bathrooms were unkempt and it was obvious that the business has shifted its attention to delivery/carry out. Totally understandable in this weird pandemic world where good businesses are trying to stay afloat. Maybe not the romantic sushi night I had hoped for but it was a solid 4/5.

It was hard to choose from the extensive and interesting menu. Each of our party of three was pleased with the final choices. The food was delicious with very interesting flavors. Our waitress was attentive but not intrusive. She did a very good job of balancing her duties. We will definitely return to try more of the appealing dishes presented on the menu.

Excellent food, especially on a holiday. Very busy as it was Christmas day, but our reservation was honored. Our server, Sarah, was super even though extraordinarily busy. And our drink at the bar came from bartender Mike who we stop to visit with every time we go there. Great place!!

A busy Christmas Eve, the restaurant was full, and they were short-staffed… BUT — Saketumi delivered on all fronts. Excellent food, a relaxed atmosphere in spite of two little ones who got “spicy” just before their parents were getting ready to go. Our server (I can’t remember her name, but she was a blonde, uncomplainingly working in spite of having children at home waiting for her) graciously and without judgement, kindly seated us away from the kids as we requested. After all, we were on our yearly Christmas Eve romantic dinner! Our food was perfectly prepared, came in an unrushed, but timely manner, and we left happy, talking about how we would definitely return. I would also like to note that the restaurant was very clean and the staff were well-groomed and professional-looking. Thank you, Saketumi, for making our Christmas merry!

It wasn’t a traditional hibachi that we eat at Japanese restaurant. The meat (filet) was good but vegetables overcooked and all covered in some thick sauce. They should warn patrons who are ordering hibachi that they don’t have an ability to prepare it properly (IMHO) despite calling it a “hibachi”. We could have ordered something else. The service was great and so was an overall ambience. The impression and our advise to our friends to visit the restaurant though would be a lot better. Left in uncertainty.

Great waitress. Very noisy when we arrived just after happy hour, but the noise diminished quickly. Shush was good and service was excellent. We will go back.

Food was good and we were not rushed. Service was slow but we didn’t mind since we were having the evening with friends. Would have liked to get our drinks sooner though since it was a while before we received them. It seems the lack of full staff is everywhere.

Overall it was very good food and service. There was a group of drunk 20-somethings playing music on their cell phones and grinding at the bar. They broke a glass (or something). There came a point I think they should have been asked to leave.

Terrible. The sushi was literally inedible, it had to be disposed of instead of eaten because I was concerned we would get sick. Additionally, the noodle dish made my husband sick with nausea to the point of having to turn in early for the evening, (we are on vacation). Do not understand how the reviews are so high. Very poor dining experience.

Saketumi is one of our “go-to” restaurants in the Rehoboth area. Its pan-Asian menu ranges from sushi & sashimi to curries and Korean BBQ. We’ve found that the food is always very good (try the TTS Roll or the Chirashi!), and fairly priced ($$), The cocktail list is inventive, and the Asian & Craft beer lists are short, but cover all bases. Plus, being on Rte. 1/Coastal Hwy. near Midway & Rte.24, there’s adequate parking. Reservations are useful. There’s a very busy Happy Hour (we’ve never been, but have seen that it fills up the bar area).

My husband got the duck entree and I got the Korean BBQ. Both entrees were delicious. Decor is very plain-Jane but the food makes up for that.
