We LOVED our late dinner at Cook Shoppe. Lobster gnocchi and pork belly were the stand outs, and thoroughly enjoyed in a beautifully ambient atmosphere. Service was incredibly, knowledgeable and friendly, some of the best I have had in this city. Can't WAIT to come back. More

We invited friends over Australia, China to the waterfront restaurant. We got a table by the water view that let us see the bay bridge clearly. We were all very happy for the table arrangement. We went for my girlfriend's birthday din din and I notified them before hand when making the reservation. They made us feel so welcomed and everyone who attended to us wished her happy bday, they sang happy bday to her 3 times, they joked with us, gave us recommendations based on my food allergies, brought out champagne for us to cheers to on the house and dessert. It was so awesome and the food... oh my goodness the food!!!!! Go! More

The reason for a lack of 5 stars was the service. We didn’t get served by a waiter for well into 20 minutes. We had to wave someone down to get waters, cocktails orders etc. (And yes we had reservations). They forgot our cocktail order twice. Then it took over 30 minutes to get our cocktails. We placed an order for an entree and they forgot that too. It finally came at the end of our meal. Lunchtime is a bit of a frenzy getting people in and out. Which is probably why orders and tables get dropped out. I would come back thinking this it was a one off situation. And the only reason to return is because the food was very good. I hope they work on their service. More

It was a very warm evening but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and our respective choices of entrees. Our wait person was quite attentive but then let us enjoy our conversation and lingering after our meal was finished. We were not rushed in any way. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed dining at Le Central. It was great for catching up with old friends because the other diners around us were quiet and respectful. Compared to so many new chi chi places, it was refreshing to have such a nice evening out. More

American | SOMA, San Francisco

Food: every ingredient is thoughtfully constructed that melds together perfectly. Staff: well educated on the menu and very attentive to us as dinners. They took care of the little details that we all take for granted Space: loved the openness and how bright the space was. They kitchen provides the energy and you can hear the kitchen staff all in unison respond to the Chef Ambience: very romantic, and at the same time you can have a conversation without having to shout. Many restaurants these days don’t pay attention to this Overall: tremendous experience with phenomenal food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ More

We’ve been here several times! The food and wine pairing is always great, very unconventional , the chef is a risk taker! She is a star or she will be! Mason is good too. We love the personal touch they had before where they wrote the guest names w/ the menu... kinda cool. Everything was perfectly right but the 1.5hr for the whole experience, as always we felt we were rushed to eat. Yet , as always! Really good experience for my visitors! More

From start to finish KUSAKABE was fantastic, our reservation was confirmed when we walked in and we were seated immediately. Once we sat down menus were presented and drink orders were taken. We were then greeted by our Sushi Chef, he was friendly and explained every item as they were presented to us. Everything was delicious and the staff was great! I wholeheartedly recommend visiting KUSAKABE for a special event or date night. Definitely will be coming back again when I get the chance! More

Discover San Francisco

Farm-to-table is everywhere now, but it was here first. Just north of San Francisco, the values-forward counties of Marin and Sonoma offer an abundance of sustainably sourced produce. Of course, there’s more to eat in the Bay than leafy greens alone—don’t miss the mainstays like Cioppino (a seafood stew best eaten with thick-cut garlic bread), Mission-style burritos, local oysters and Neapolitan pizza where pizzerias around town war for the ultimate version. The city has long been home to distinct international flavors, so for authentic dim sum, Chinatown tops the charts. The Mission is ablaze with longstanding taquerias, steakhouses and a new wave of artisanal bakeries and coffee houses. And the Fisherman’s Wharf, while touristy, is the spot for Bay caught seafood. From there, we recommend walking to Crissy Field for Golden Gate Bridge gazing and sparkling sunshine.
