Very nice experience at Anzu. Food was superb. Wait staff was very attentive and friendly. If you go, try the appetizer called "The Rock". You cook tiny, thin slices of beef on a rock at 400 degree temperature. It sizzles and then you dip into any of 3 sauces. Very interesting and fun. Both the food and service at this restaurant is phenomenal. Highly recommend! More

We were meeting with old friends whom we hadn't seen in ages, so we talked and talked for a couple of hours. The server was excellent, filling water glasses, offering to refill coffee, and bringing extra hot water for tea. Very fine service! Later, when my husband paid the bill with a USAA credit card, the staff realized he had been in the military service and presented a "thank you" of wonderful macarons on a plate that was also decorated with grapes and whipped cream. We were amazed, as this is the first time for such an honor. He really was an actual hero, a US Navy pilot, who helped discover a Russian submarine in the water near Florida during the Cuban Missile Crisis. The sub was forced to surface, and then chased back to the Mediterranean by one of our Navy destroyers. More

Our visit to Sequoia Grove Winery was an absolute delight! Thank you to Lisa Pinn as she was very welcoming and a great host. My wife and I were in Napa for our 30th anniversary and we were excited to partake in the Terroir Tasting...fabulous! The wines were excellent and the food pairing prepared by Chef Britney were spot on... Pan Roasted Prawns, Truffled Polenta, Braised Osso Buco... this is a must and what a great way to combine wine tasting and lunch! We learned on this trip we are in love with Howell Mountain wines... so, just ask Lisa for a glass of "Hank"! Trust me.... More

Been on our list to make our first visit for a few months, now having been their, wish we had not taken so long! We wanted to get the full experience on our first visit, so rather than order an entree, we ordered 6 of the small plates and not a single one was disappointing. Service was great, the intimate setting and atmosphere fabulous. We definitely will return!! More

Discover San Francisco

Farm-to-table is everywhere now, but it was here first. Just north of San Francisco, the values-forward counties of Marin and Sonoma offer an abundance of sustainably sourced produce. Of course, there’s more to eat in the Bay than leafy greens alone—don’t miss the mainstays like Cioppino (a seafood stew best eaten with thick-cut garlic bread), Mission-style burritos, local oysters and Neapolitan pizza where pizzerias around town war for the ultimate version. The city has long been home to distinct international flavors, so for authentic dim sum, Chinatown tops the charts. The Mission is ablaze with longstanding taquerias, steakhouses and a new wave of artisanal bakeries and coffee houses. And the Fisherman’s Wharf, while touristy, is the spot for Bay caught seafood. From there, we recommend walking to Crissy Field for Golden Gate Bridge gazing and sparkling sunshine.
