Everything was average. Not a bust evening despite the great weather. Staff was polite but not attentive. Dishes were left on surrounding tables for a long time after they left. I had the short ribs - flavor was good, mac n cheese was Luke warm
Weekday lunch rush was a little slow to get our starter item. Otherwise very good experience and food.
We had horrible service, had to wait for our reserved seats for a very long time our drinks were wrong and there was hair in our salsa! BAD EXPERIENCE 🙁
The place was virtually empty for brunch and yet the service was slow which made for an annoying meal.
This was my first visit and probably my last.
Great views of the park and city skyline though
This restaurant is just about perfect. The food is great, the service is great, and the scenery overlooking the park and cityscape is perfect. This is a must
Went to Savor before a performance at the opera. Mentioned that we were on a schedule upon checking in. We were very well taken care of by staff and server and arrived plenty on time for the opera. I got the burger and my husband the fish and chips. Both were very good. We will definitely go back. thank you
Our server neglected us
We sat outside and there was loud music being played through loudspeakers but at least it was pleasant.
The mimosa my girlfriend ordered with the OJ on the side came with Chardonnay rather than sparkling wine or champagne. When I walked up to the bartender (because the server did not attend to us well) she said it came out of the “tap” and seemed agitated that I should ask. I was given a new glass of sparkling wine however. I then overheard her telling another employee that she could use his help because she has “had enough of this and can’t take any more”.
The eggs Benedict was average and the carrot cake and coffee were very good.
You will impress your date there.
Atmosphere is A+...that being said, the service is always slow and the food is subpar. There also aren’t many food options. Could be improved a lot!
Overpriced when it comes to coffee...My friend wanted decaf, I wanted regular. All they asked or told us was it was "a French Press". After the check arrived we discover it is $8 each! Ouch!
Food and coffee $60 for two. One person ordered salad w/chicken. I had turkey sandwich and soup instead of fries. Add ice tea and pow! Nice check average huh?
While service is always excellent, for this visit Alyssa went above and beyond. I frequently come to Savor for my business lunches, and I recommend it as often as possible. Alyssa took great care of us and always made us feel like we were her top priority, all while simultaneously making every other table feel the same. Excellent food, excellent service. Thanks again.
I went with my husband for dinner. The overall atmosphere is great but I wouldn’t go back for food. It wasn’t the best it was just “okay”
I think it’s more of a going for drinks place than going for a dinner place.
Service was poor. Restaurant was far from crowded at the time.
Had a great date here and the food and service was on point. It wasn’t busy which I believe allowed the service to remain great.
Food was fantastic and noise level was great so we could easily hear one another.
Celebration of Nieces Birthday!
The hostess kindly accommodated an increase in the size of our party from 4 to 6, and sat us at what they called the "chef's table" (although I'm not sure what that term means other that it was in the center of the restaurant near the kitchen.) Our server, Jai, was extremely helpful, and patient as our party did not arrive at the same time. She provided good recommendations, had good energy and enthusiasm, and made our experience an enjoyable one. Then I found out it was her first day as a server, which really impressed me because she seemed very comfortable in the role at Savor and was very knowledgeable of the menu options. All in all it was a great night with family and friends.
The menu on Open Table does not match the menu at the restaurant. Disappointing...
The brunch menu is wonderful. Portions were perfect - my friend and I shared the crab dip and the lemon ricotta stuffed french toast with berry topping, and we had leftovers. We had questions about the taste of lemon being overwhelming, but it was barely noticeable.
The service was excellent and the hostess interacted with the patrons making the experience comfortable.
Wonderful evening on the patio.
Had friends in from out of town and wanted a nice place with great ambiance
Went here for a Valentine's Day dinner with my wife. Visiting out of town on our first day. Walked in, no hostess. Waited for 2 mins (No problem). Place looked fairly busy. I asked if we could have outdoor seating (plenty of tables around) - she said no, it would be at least 1 hr wait. We said fine and went to our table. It was extremely loud in the main dining hall. Staff were rushing, running around. They looked stressed, which made us feel stressed. A few wine glasses fell and broke. A waitress mistakenly came to our table and gave us a takeout bag (thinking we were done dining, since we didn't have anything in front of us). Our server finally came to us and asked us for drinks. We ordered 1 cocktail each. Not good. 10 minutes must have gone by, maybe more, before the waiter came back to us and said "I haven't forgotten about you...let's talk dinner." Not exactly the right approach for a fine dining restaurant. I told the waiter we are going to leave, we don't want to eat here. And we took the check and left. I was really unimpressed. Sorry but I wanted to provide this detail because I had such a higher expectation and took my wife there. We just went to Velvet Taco for Valentine's Dinner, but at least the service + experience was better there.
Service, food and over all has gone downhill. Won’t be back ever. They forgot to put my meal in. When I got it my steak was more extremely rare no even close to medium rare. My daughters streak was over cooked.. my wife and daughter ate while I waited more than 10 min for my steak. the shrimp appetizer was something you’d get from a dollar menu. We ordered the chocolate cake for my daughter Togo. They wrapped the rest of her entree and forgot they cake, but didn’t forget to charge me for it... took 15 min after being sat to even get water. The told me they were over booked.... they weren’t they were understaffed. I will never return. It used to be one of my fav places because of the glass enclosure. Scratch that off the list.
Valentine’s dinner. It was a great experience!
Service was Excellence our server was very courteous and attentive, ambience was awesome as we had great weather for outdoor sitting. The prices are a bit high but considering that it was an upscale locale it was expected and we checked the menu before our reservation it was expected. I loved the fact that they provided complimentary Valet for dining at their restaurant with no time restrictions, this allows you to walk around Clyde Warren Park for as long as you like before retrieving your vehicle. This provided for a very relaxed and enjoyable Valentines Day!
Two of us had the shrimp & scallop salad and it was plain/ bland without much flavor. Another person enjoyed the burger. Great location on the park.
There were many lights out in the restaurant- specifically in the floor along the marble wall. The upholstered furniture in the entry/lounge is soiled in poor condition. No trash can in the men's toilet. Overall the restaurant is dirty- especially the marble wall prior to the kitchen. The floor throughout was dirty. The food was expensive for the maintenance level of the restaurant and poor service. The server was forgetful, shy and inattentive. My friend had two bites of a bad salad and the server didn't remark as he took away the salad nearly as it had been delivered to the table. Overall the experience felt like a mistake and was regrettable. It is a shame, because it was built so expensively and beautifully.
Great food, great service, fun atmosphere!
my salad was very good and not overdressed(someone else might want to ask for more dressing)
one guest found the chicken entree dry and the grits bland. another found the grouper so-so
I did like my salad and I liked the happy hour wine price but my husband does not want to go back there
My lunch companion order the Ahi tuna and I ordered the Crab Louie salad while we ate our deviled egg appetizer. About 10 minutes after we ordered, our waitperson came back and said the Crab Louie was unavailable, so I ordered the chopped salad (which, by the way, had very little flavor). Almost 30 min later (after the original 10 minute wait to find out there was no Crab Louie), we still had no salads. When I flagged down our waitperson, she said she would check, and then came back and said the orders "got switched in the back". It was still almost another 10 minutes before we received our 2 salads. And we arrived at 11:40 and the restaurant was NOT busy at that time.
We dine at Savor often, as it's close to the Performing Arts District, and serves dinner until 11pm. The staff is warm, friendly and knowledgable and the food is always great. The setting is lovely with views of Klyde Warren Park through the wall to wall banks of windows. Quiet enough to enjoy conversation!
Meh. Location location location--
The location is beautiful-- we were seated outside as requested-- people smoking outside were a nuisance. We were there early-- to make the theatre by 8pm--
Service was largely haphazard-- the food arrived and to get a check took an act of congress.
overall the food was good service was TERRIBLE the location is pretty.
We had a lovely early evening meal for a birthday celebration. The food was delicious!
One of our favorite restaurants! Great steaks, wine selection and service!
Excellent food, beautiful setting
We had an early reservation before the theatre. The back part of the restaurant was closed for a private event so we had to sit at a table in the bar area. Service was not good and the food was cold. We had to send one of the entree's back which made us late leaving for the theatre. Been to this restaurant many times and this was the only time we did not have a good experience.
We really enjoyed our dining experience at Savor. Service was friendly and professional. We loved the food. Started off with the Crispy Shrimp and Calamari, then chop salad, and I had the Ancho Braised Short Rib on cheddar Mac & Cheese, while my wife had the Sea Bass special. Wine list was extensive and not outrageously priced. Would definitely come back.
We had such a great dinner. Andy was our server. We love him. He always anticipates our needs. Always so nice and accommodating. They have the best cocktails. My fish dish was perfectly cooked. All of our guests loved their entree'. Can't wait to go back.
