Quiet Sunday night, couples dinner. the salads were superb. The service was excellent. The fish and chips was excellent. I found the veal shepherds pie to be not top-notch but overall very good and of great value.

Ordered the ribeye with loaded baked potato. Sent the ribeye back due to very poor meat quality and baked potato was cold and very overcooked. Reordered a filet and left before it arrived due to the extensive wait time and I was completely ignored by the wait staff . Manager came out and somewhat agreed re. the baked potato, but argued that the ribeye was a quality piece of meat. Left the $25 discount certificate that I received when checked in for the hotel stay to cover the glass of wine that I had and left without paying for the ribeye or filet. On the other hand the complementary breakfast given to over night hotel guests was very good and service was outstanding.

My wife ordered surf and turf from the waitress and the server (different person) brought out fish and chips. Her surf and turf was excellent but my salmon was fair. Disappointed that the waitress chose to blame the kitchen staff for the mistake whereas I suspect she may have been responsible and should have taken responsibility in either case. I also suggest to the restaurant that wine be served at cellar temperature and not room temperature and upgrade the wine glasses to Riedel or comparable. The wine selection was adequate and appropriately priced.

Lovely hotel and staff but that restaurant would be better off completely shut down and 1-remodel, brighten it up, modernize all the while keeping the historic charm. That restaurant feels gloomy and drab. It’s like a funeral parlor in there 2- redo the entire menu and get fresh ingredients. Ex: there has to be a farm nearby that provides local cheeses for the cheese board. Why give us cubes of grocery store lousy cheeses? 3- that free breakfast was inedible: unripe watermelon cubes, leftover steak thrown in a boring omelet. Awful

Our meal was delicious elevated to dining under the expert service Shelby provided. Just posh enough for a night-out feeling, Sisters is the perfect place to enjoy after a performance at Barter Theater and a quick stroll around town for those seeking a rich, historic Abingdon experience.

We went there for our anniversary. They were kind enough to put us in the VIP room a private room with a conference table. It was amazing. Our server was incredible. I wish I remembered her name the pepper crusted prime rib and the filet mignon were incredible so was the crème brûlée the bruschetta and the fried green tomatoes were the best fried green tomatoes I ever had. Thanks for making our night so special.
