   Everything we ordered, from cauliflower steak to salmon, was delicious. The appetizer of black-bean hummus was very enjoyable. The service was somewhat slow, but we received very welcome advice on our entrees. The bottle of Tattinger champagne at 1/2 off on Wednesdays was a great bargain. A very enjoyable evening with a great friend.

   Wow! First time here and we can’t WAIT to go back! Brunch was AMAZING! Andrew took care of us— he was great and made our day even better! The food is spectacular. All four of us loved every bite of our entrees. The bottomless mimosas are perfection. And.. you gotta get the homemade pop tarts! If you haven’t been to Soco, it’s a MUST.

   We love this restaurant, the owner Chef Greg Richie came to our table. We know many of the employees and managers. The cocktails and food were excellent. We started in the bar waiting for our friends to arrive, Tim did a great job making and handling our drinks. Everyone was friendly and kind to us. We had 2-seared Scottish Salmon dinner mains, I had the Molasses Brined Heritage Pork Chop, 1 chicken wing special and a couple salads for dinner before our Chris Rock show. We got lucky and had a couple bottles of good wine. On Wednesday they happen to have a 1/2 Off on all bottles of wine special. Thanks so much Greg and staff we had excellent food and drinks. It was great time and fun evening for everyone.

    My colleague and I sat at the bar with one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had, her name is Mary. The food is always amazing and didn’t let us down again. Mary had great recommendations on food wine and whiskey. The bar manager who has been there for several years is always amazing as well. Overall highly recommend Soco for an amazing culinary experience.

    Had a delicious brunch here. The cocktails were finely crafted and the brunch items we ordered were so tasty. I had the biscuits with the blueberry and mixed berry spread which were so delectable. I also had the bacon which was the best bacon I have had on a long time. Also the location of this place is great. We went to lake eola right after our brunch. Definitely recommend and will definitely return.

    Food was delicious. We had the grilled meatloaf. My hubby had the pecan snapper. As an appetizer we had the pork belly buns. The strawberry bread pudding was great, not so sweet, refreshing. My coctail was good. Our waitress was lovely. The reason for the 4 was because I requested an inside standard table when I made my reservation for two. When I made the reservation there were several time slots available. When we got there the hostess sat us at the high top by the bar. It was crowded and noisy. I did not want the high top that us why I requested standard inside table. They said u will be happier at high top because it is less hot than the dining room. My husband said no too noisy. Then they sat us outside which was fine because there were not a lot of people and the noise level was less. I like being able to have a conversation at dinner. We thought the hostess were discriminating against us but we enjoyed our evening. We would recommend this restaurant it is our second time there. If you have a definite preference on where you want to be seated well now you know. The dining room was also not crowded so.

    5/5 all the way. From service to food to ambience, everything was perfect. Mary was a fantastic server, she knew the menu, was attentive, and made great recommendations. As for the food, we had the chicken and dumplings for an app, halibut for me, and the short rib beef strog. For my fiance. Ahh, everything was simply fantastic. I've been to places much more expensive but the halbut was probably better than any other cooked fish. The pecan crust/skin was exceptionally light but crispy. The meat was perfectly light but not undercooked, and was very fresh. The dumplings had wonderful texture and the sauce had a nice fullness that was brought out by the tartness (of lemon, maybe?). Anyway, it was the perfect way to elevate an classic southern dish. The braised short ribs were also perfectly done. Can't remember drink names, but the cocktails were both great, and I would recommend ending with the key lime cheesecake. Noise was quiet, but we also went in at 6 pm, so before the rush.

    Beautiful food and ambiance! My mother and I were visiting for a conference and wanted to try something the locals would eat. This was a perfect choice. Our appetizers were lovely and prepared us for the main! Great service as well.

    Call first to see if the Air Conditioning is working. It wasn’t during our dinner which made for a very uncomfortable meal. The AC worked in the bar so it would have been nice to be offered the choice to move there. Our server was great and my food was delicious. Although, two people in our group of four had stomach issues soon after dinner. They each ordered the same drink. Not likely to return anytime soon.

    Most Everything was delicious. We dined there Saturday, July 9th. The catch of the day was suppose to be halibut, but appeared to be a fillet of white fish and had a fishy taste. This meal was my daughters and she didn't say anything to the waiter. The homemade biscuits had a slight sour aftertaste which I thought unusual. My other daughter's drink had a vinegar aftertaste. She had maybe 3 sips, waitress asked if she didn't like the drink and we explained, but waitress didn't offer to remake, reselect or take off the order. At their price point I would have expected them to do something. Everything else was delicious. I will give the restraint another try. Not sure what was with all the vinegar.

    Soco’s is always fantastic. Friendly service, delicious and unique entrees, and great ambiance. Once you experience it you’ll understand the hype. If you haven’t already, try Soco’s and then go for a walk around Lake Eola. It’s a few hours of your life that your tastebud’s and soul will thank you for.

    Food was unbelievable. Strongly recommend the dumplings as an appetizer. We enjoyed the following dinner entrées:Korean chicken, meatloaf and lobster mashed potatoes, cauliflower steak, scallops and pecan crusted fish other day all incredibly delicious and filling. Highly recommend!!

    Took out of town family here for Father's Day. We had dined here once before and it was outstanding. What we did not realize about this visit is on Sundays it doesn't matter what time you dine, they only have a brunch menu on Sunday. It was completely disappointing to learn this when we sat down. Had we have known this when we made the reservation, we wouldn't have dined here. Since it was a limited menu, we couldn't get the items we were looking forward to. Regarding what we did get, the Bacon egg and cheese shrimp and grits was outstanding as was the chicken and french toast. My wife did not like her salmon cakes at all. The pork belly on small biscuits were good, but the lukewarm temperature was disappointing. The biscuits, jam and butter was delicious. Our waitress was very good. We'll go back, but not on a Sunday as their regular menu is the star of the show.

    They took over an hour to give me my food grits don’t take that long to cook it was expensive . The manager took an appetizer off for been sorry 😞 so she said, they was charging us for things they dint bring at the table worst experience ever the food was horrible

    My family and I came here for Father’s Day brunch. We have been here before and they didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious from the devil eggs to the shrimp and grits. Unlimited mimosas and Bloody Marys are good.

    As always, we had an amazing experience! We’ve been wanting to show our friends this restaurant for a while and finally had the opportunity. I found a new dish I’ve fallen in love with beyond the Chicken and Dumplings! What a surprise because that is always how we introduce people to the restaurant. I highly recommend the Corn Bisque as an appetizer in addition to the Chicken & Dumplings (this does not excuse the other tasty menu options they offer). The staff is always so wonderful and warm and Chef Greg always knows how to execute a fantastic night behind the scenes! Thank you all for everything!

    BRUNCH We had a rough start but things turned around rather quickly. I booked with Open table and selected the Indoor seating option ( not an option I normally see available). In the special instructions box, I requested booth seating. Note that this was my / our first visit to the restaurant. Upon arrival and check in, we were informed that they do not offer booth seating and that the only seating available was outside. I wasn’t at all happy about this because I absolutely did not want to sit outside. The first hostess wasn’t very accommodating either, however another hostess stepped in and resolved the issue. After being seated, our experience progressively became more delightful. Our server ( a nursing student) was amazing ! He warmly and kindly greeted us, was very attentive, suggested the perfect food and beverage recommendations and he provided outstanding service to us for the duration of our time there. At some point the manager came by to check on us; he apologized for the rough start, then revisited a few more times to check in and ensure that we were ok. The restaurant itself was very nicely decorated and super clean. The busboys kept our table clear of soiled dinnerware (Which is my personal pet leave) and our water glasses were consistently replenished. Our meals were served in a timely manner and all food was temperature appropriate AND delicious. The cocktail was also as perfect as it could be. It was a little loud but that didn’t prevent us from having a beautiful experience at Soco. We told friends and now planning to revisit for a dinner experience!
