Spago - Beverly Hills
We have such an exceptional time, from the drinks, food, service and ambiance!
Overall It was amazing! They even took us to the kitchen and showed us how the food was prepared. That was definitely a priceless experience.
The food was ok. There are a lot of amazing dishes, such like the agnolotti, the abalone fish and chips, the olive oil salmon. However, the rest on our testing menu was just ok.
Next time when we go, we will just get the signature dishes.
It must have been a bad night for Spago. We went in at 5:30pm, the time the restaurant opens. But it was not until around 6:30 pm, the bread was served. My cocktail was not available until 6:55 pm. And the bottle of red wine I ordered showed up at least one hour and 30 minutes after we placed the order......
Mostly pricey fixe expensive, but delicious, creative and fun. Matches well with wine or drinks.
We love Spago and go regularly but even the best restaurants don't have a way to prevent a meal being ruined - by inconsiderate guests who marinade in perfume/cologne. To enjoy food or wine you need your sense of smell that was assassinated by a guy next to us who had overindulged in his cologne. That is unmanageable risk - spending $100's per person and being disappointed.
Really enjoyed the DineLA experience- having dined all over the world - kept finding myself comparing it to the Ritz London (3 star Michelin rated) - our family had a wonderful time on the kitchen tour. Excellent service - from the server, food runners, wine service - very good !
Food was delicious as usual but service was very slow at the onset. I found myself looking for our waiter numerous times to place our order. I would expect top notch, attentive service for these prices.
The food was exquisite, lovely staff. Been years since I have eaten here, will be back again soon.
Great restaurant. As a „newcomer“ you have to argue for a suitable table. Usually try try to sell the „bad tables“ to the newcomers.
Great service. Food 4 star, just a little off that night
Delicious and creative choices. Great service.
Perfection. On every level. It's such a treat going there.
From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we were treated with nothing but class, respect and tremendous attention to detail! The food for the price point is fantastic with a generous portion you will not leave hungry! I recommend this iconic restaurant to anyone visiting and wants to see the heartbeat of Wolfgang puck and has phenomenal cuisine and staff!
Outstanding service, as always. Food dependently good.
Service was very good. Inside was beautiful with holiday decor. Everyone was really attentive and nice.
As always, Spago delivers on every level. Outstanding.
Pretty much everything about our experience was perfect.
Everything was over the top delicious with the exception of the fish entree. It was inedible salty and over seasoned. I was already so full from all the previous courses so regretfully I did not mention it to our waiter.
I was expecting better pizza. I ordered the most expensive pizza (white truffle)
But it was lacking the givem ingredient as well as the pizza itself was below average. I didn’t get what I paid for.
I had octopus soup ( as appetizer) in a coconut bowl, which was great and gave me the impression that the pizza will be amazing but it was disappointing
We had a very lovely lunch before heading to the airport!
Was not informed in advance of pre-fixed menu. Restaurant called few hours prior to dinner time and requested that we prepay for dinner at $175/pp
They should post this or whatever they plan ahead of time on Opentable or their website so we know ahead of time...
Great dinner with my family. Tremendous wine list. Still a bit expensive for quite normal food.
The service was challenged as we had to repeat ourselves for the basics. Food was fantastic. Ambience for the bar area exquisite but the main dining felt lacking. Michelin 2 star level, no. One star, perhaps. Highlight of the night, the Schnitzel!
Caviar and fish are very delicious! And desert is awesome too. If there is still a chance in the future, I will choose come to Spago again!
Good restaurant, but one of the main entrees was cold. Apparently they forgot about it in the kitchen and was served very cold. The service was very slow.
It is a lovely restaurant and the service was very good.
Perfect meal for an intimate birthday celebration. Our server, Leslie, was vibrant, excited, and always there with whatever we needed and good fun also. In absolute love with the mushroom soup and snitzel. See you at birthday time next year.
Wonderful service and food and great waiter. Left my credit card and when I went back a woman was waiting at the curb to give it back to me.
I have always loved Spago. But the wait before I was seated was too long and the sofas in your waiting area are worn out. It’s time to reupholster them.
Service was ridiculously bad. Server made us wait 15 min to bring us our menus and then another 17 min to take our order. When I mentioned we were waiting for a while our server was snippy with us and said "Well I'm here now and can help you now". Not apologetic in the slightest... The food was really average, my steak came cold. Even the plate was cold when although the server said to be careful of the hot plates. Do not recommend. Don't be fooled by the good reviews, this is not a 5 star dining experience. Tourists beware.
Great place to celebrate any special occasion
Never not the best fine dining in LA.
A little chilly inside
We were initially really excited for this experiment, but we got pretty disappointed. I would REALLY REALLY not recommend the tasting menu. The service is moderate as well.
Always outstanding! We have been dining at Spago for over 15 years now & it is still our favorite restaurant in Beverly Hills!
Was five star all the way and a fantastic service and very friendly. We were being taken care of all the time and made our special gust feels special, so thank you for that.
