Fresh cutting edge food fit for the fine palate. Excellent wine list and great service.
Perfect dining experience! From food, presentation, service & decor - TOP NOTCH!
This restaurant has it all! What a delight from the warm welcome, our fantastic server Travis and the delicious dinner!
Thank you for such a special evening!
I am an identical twin, so I took my brother and I out for dinner at Spago for our birthday. We had the tasting menu, which was spectacular except for one dish, and I fully admit that while I didn't like it, that is solely due to my personal taste, not to the excellence of the dish (it was octopus), which was, according to my brother, the best piece of octopus he'd ever had. I had never had it before, and didn't like it, but can say it was cooked perfectly. I just wasn't into it. Everything else was spectacular. The plating was beautiful. The five-course amuse bouche was wonderful, with the fifth piece being served as they toured the two of us through the kitchen, which was both very cool and well timed. Seeing all that food being made makes you hungry, so they give you your last little intro-bite while there (it was phenomenal). I've eaten at plenty of Michelin starred places, and this place ranks at least a star, even though Michilen hasn't been to LA for years so it doesn't actually have any right now. I hear they're coming, so I'm interested to see what Spago gets.
First class service and top shelf food. Chef Wolfgang Puck has a menu that will make your mouth dance with excitement.
I had the veal chop of generous proportions that I was able to share with the entire table for all to enjoy.
The cod was cooked to perfection and flavors jumped off the plate with a perfect balance of pure culinary awesomeness.
Can’t say enough great things about Spago other than a MUST TRY for all!
The food and service were delightful, as always. Did seem noisier than on other occasions. A bit hard to talk. Seems to depend on wher you’re seated. Still a top choice in its fourth decade.
Those servers make you feel as if every other service at every other restaurant as been doing it wrong! Loved this place.
Beautiful meal, excellent service, not rushed! Love this restaurant. Great birthday celebration!
Very niçe restaurant , the food as very good but very expensive.
The service sas very good .
But I did not like that I had to pay for a bottle of still water without warning.
Outstanding on every level. One is attended to the moment one walks in the door all the way to the valet when leaving. Every aspect of the food and drink is perfect - down to the large ice cube in your cocktail and the separated grated egg in the Lobster Salad. It is not at all inexpensive because one is paying for incredible, well-crafted food presented in an amazing setting. Splurge on yourself and enjoy life. It's worth it.
The quality of the food we were served was AWFUL!! I had what was labeled a New York strip steak served cut up into seven pieces with all of the edges charred beyond well done. It tasted suspiciously like a cheap piece of skirt steak. I felt badly cheated. My wife ordered a chicken dish which she said was tasteless. The service and atmosphere were nice and up to standard, but the food should have been left in the kitchen if they were going to use such poor quality. Shame on the Wolfgang Puck empire.
Superlative food, really world class. Both food and cocktails were superb. We highly recommend. Specially the house cured smoked salmon pizza and the cocktail with fresh raspberry juice.
Fabulous food & service. Highly recommend!
Our waiter, Petra, was outstanding. The sommelier picked just the right wine for us. My wife had the veal chop… It was the finest one she has had to date . I had the snake River Farms Wagyu New York strip... it was a perfect steak! We shared the gnocchi, it was wonderful.
All good, not to be picky but food for all parties need to be served at the same time so one does not sit there and wait for the food Big operation can’t be perfect every time. Great place will recommend it and will return for more thank you
Wonderful service and great for lunch. My Endive Salad was fantastic and my wife's Pea Soup was tasty. This was my second time having the salmon pizza and it just isn't for me. I grew up on bagels and lox...so it is hard for me to say that. My pea agnolotti was good...but the agnolotti I had a couple of nights before at Republique was otherworldly.
I expected the extraordinary. It was okay. My daughter's gnocchi was a tiny portion. My steak was cooked correctly, but the meat could have been more tender. I expected to walk away with an extraordinary experience, but it was just okay.
What a disappointment. Spago has such a great reputation and we were treated to a less than acceptable experience. My food was saturated with black pepper which rendered it inedible and I sent it back...something I never do. They re-did my dish but by the time it came back, my husband was already done with his meal and I had lost my appetite. The wait staff was wonderful. They offered to pack up my meal and take the charge of the bill. I declined the latter. In an effort to make things right, they brought out a dessert that my husband ordered and another one for me that I had shown interest in but had not ordered along with a plate of cookies. Again, the wait staff was doing all they could for us. I asked that the deserts be added to the bag that contained my main dish and, as it was being held at the front desk, I looked forward to picking it up when we left. However, when I gave them my claim ticket they couldn't find the bag. They admitted that they gave to someone else. Now we have paid for food we never got. We were told that corporate would have to issue a refund. He could not fix it. Not what I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. On a positive note: if the English Pea soup is on the menu, get it. It is out of this world good!
Incredible vibe and ambiance! Food was amazing!
Great experience. Very creative and eclectic menu. A bit noisy, though. Enjoyed meeting Wolfgang!
Amazing dinner, impeccable service!
We thoroughly enjoyed the evening. My grandson was with us and I appreciated the special attention to a child's needs. We ordered three different main courses and two appetizers and two deserts and all were delicious with excellent presentation. The wait staff was attentive and thoughtful. The wine list was extensive with a range in price for both bottles and by the glass. All together a wonderful dinner.
Dinning at Spago is simply an amazing restaurant! Everything was seamless, smooth and exacting. Service was perfection, and spot on. The food at Spago is always innovative and cutting edge, and out of this world delicious.
Our Sommelier was great, and made an even better recommendation for my pick of wine when the Stony Hill Chardonnay was little corked. The wine list is huge!
For as long as this restaurant has been around they are the "Gold Standard". I mean when you walk in, it is not formal, but chic. Every little detail from the bread that is served, to the décor is so well thought out.
There a lot of really great restaurants in LA, but Spago is always be the one you will want to go back to for all of the above reasons.
Spago is such a treasure. The best food and service anywhere and so fun “people watching”
The service was extremely slow.
This is our favorite restaurant, anywhere! We ordered the tasting menu with paired wines and it was amazing! We will be back, although we live 500 miles away...
Have been coming to Spago's in Beverly Hills for nearly 30 years but had not been back in nearly 2 years as we no longer live in Southern California. It appears that Wolfgang Puck is no longer in charge of the food preparation/selection. The meal this evening was far below our past experiences. The caviar portions seemed small and lacked a mother of pearl spoon for the caviar as well as chopped onions. The main courses all lacked the usual "bursting with flavor" experiences of the past.
They have lots of servers, so it seems like service is effortless. This is truly a restaurant to impress your guests or to have as a special treat.
Spago is beyond perfect! They have the best service and the cutest decor plus there’s good music! Every dish is amazing you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
Impeccable service. Drinks amazing.
What a remarkable evening. Our server, Brian was wonderful. Everything was perfect, the experience was out of this world.
Always the best experience!! Delicious food, great service “William” .... and always relaxing. Most importantly...not pretentious.
Another great birthday occasion!!
There was a time when I thought Disneyland was the Happiest Place on Earth. No longer. Spago is a place where we go to see dear friends, enjoy exquisite food and wine, and for a few hours live in a world that is perfect. Thank you!
La pasamos muy bien, el lugar muy canchero y la comida buena. El mozo que nos atendió excelente, nos supo recomendar muy bien que pedir.
I know that this place has been around for several decades and from our recent dinning experience it is obvious they are not slacking, not even a bit. I am not sure what we were more impressed about, the incredible food and its presentation, the restaurant ambiance or the world class service. If available, I recommend you try the chef tasting menu.
It was great!!
Superb food and service! Jason and his team consistently provide excellent service. It's an amazing dining experience!
Overall disappointing. Seems like they are riding their brand but not keeping the high standard that built it. High prices, small portions and okay taste but nothing special.
The Weiner Schnitzel was a disappointment. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it in the past. This time, the veal itself was chewy (baby beef?), the breading was like Panko-it didn’t ‘stick’ to the meat, hence did not have the flavor from the past 10+ years.
