We heard that St. Stephen’s does a crunchy Fish and Chips and they were kidding. Very generous portion. 2 large pieces of cod a top fries served with two sauces. My husband loved it. I chose the Brown Derby, Homemade meatloaf, topped with mashed potatoes, Guinness mushroom gravy & frizzled onions. Again, generous portion. The meat was moist and tender and the frizzled onions on top of the creamy mashed potatoes were scrumptious.

My husband and I enjoyed our Easter dinner in this charming Irish Pub that made us feel we were back in Eire. I enjoyed a delicious chicken Madeira special with mashed potatoes and julienne root vegetables. My husband as always ordered a Ruben . The staff has always been warm and welcoming on each of our visits. We will definitely return! 🍀🍀🍀🍀😀

The food was absolutely delicious. Since it was a Sunday night it was fairly quiet but would definitely recommend this place.

FAQs

Yes, it's a popular choice for a cozy, romantic night out. The pub offers a warm, intimate atmosphere with a fireplace, attentive service, and dishes that guests call “delicious” for special occasions like Valentine’s Day. Note that the dining room can get lively or noisy on busy nights and during live music, so request a quieter table or an earlier seating when you book if you prefer a more intimate experience.

Portions are generally generous, guests frequently describe the servings as plentiful and great value, with many people taking home leftovers. Appetizers and entrees (fish & chips, stews, sandwiches) are described as hearty, and several reviews call the portions ‘‘ample’’ or ‘‘plentiful, ’’ so expect a filling meal at typical Irish-pub price points.

The restaurant is open late most days: Monday–Friday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 AM, and Saturday–Sunday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 AM. These hours support brunch, lunch and late-night dining, but if you plan to visit for a specific service (holiday meal or live music night) it’s wise to call ahead or check current hours.

Family-friendly seating is available, many guests bring children, celebrate birthdays, and mention staff helping to entertain kids. The layout includes bar seating, dining tables, and quieter back sections that families have used. Accessibility features (ramps, ADA seating) are not mentioned in guest feedback or restaurant info, so call ahead if you need specific accessible seating or accommodations.

It depends on what you want: go on Tuesday evenings for authentic live Irish music and a lively traditional session; choose weekday lunch or an early weekday/evening seating for a quieter meal. Weekends and holiday nights (St. Patrick’s, Valentine’s, New Year’s) are busy and energetic, great for atmosphere but louder and more crowded.

The ambience is an authentic, cozy Irish pub, warm, friendly, and full of character. Guests repeatedly praise the traditional feel, fireplace, and welcoming staff. It’s energetic on nights with live music (especially Tuesdays), so expect lively, social energy; on off-peak days the dining room can feel intimate and relaxed.

Business casual is the listed dress code, but guests commonly describe the vibe as relaxed and casual, shorts and tees are mentioned as acceptable by visitors. For date nights or special occasions some guests dress up a bit, but most people dine comfortably in casual attire.

Yes, the staff often accommodates seating preferences and special requests if you call ahead. Guests report success asking for quieter tables, fireplace seating, and timing for large groups; reservations are recommended for busy nights. For dietary needs or accessibility requests, call the restaurant directly to confirm they can accommodate.

Yes, families frequently dine here and guests report children being welcomed and entertained (staff have been praised for helping families). The menu offers a variety of pub-style dishes that suit kids and adults, though a dedicated kids’ menu isn’t mentioned; for younger children, consider an earlier seating and call ahead about accommodations.

Not explicitly, but reservations are recommended, especially for busy evenings, weekends and live-music nights. Guests report both being seated without reservations and experiencing waits or having to be accommodated when a reservation wasn’t honored, so booking ahead reduces uncertainty on busy nights.

Busiest: weekend evenings, holidays, and nights with live Irish music (Tuesdays can be lively). Quietest: weekday lunches, early weekday evenings, and some Sunday nights, when guests describe a calmer dining room or quieter back tables. If you prefer quiet, request an early seating or a table away from the bar and music.

Yes, the pub is regularly open for major holidays and has hosted special holiday meals (Easter, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s celebrations and New Year’s are mentioned by guests). Because hours and holiday offerings can change, call ahead to confirm specific holiday hours or specials.
