As the resto is situated in an exclusive/gated hotel, getting here is quite a challenge. Had to go through a series of checkpoints, and had to be escorted / driven to the restaurant itself. Food, the very reason we checked this out, is impeccably amazing, especially the fatty (and very fatty) tuna belly I forgot for a sec that it was a fish — that’s how creamy it is. I am a big fan of gindara so I ordered that as an entree. Delicious. I get that it is in an expensive hotel so prices are sky high. I’ve been to many other similar places that offer equally fresh sashimi and gindara, at half (or significantly lower) prices, so value for money is not that great here. I guess, a good sashimi is a good sashimi, as long as the fish is fresh. Think about Tsukiji market for that matter. But then again, this is Aman, so I guess the price is right — it’s relative after all to its other offerings. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Impeccable Italian cuisine on the shores of the Andaman Sea
Arva pays homage to Italy’s cucina semplice tradition, serving simple, heart-warming dishes in a convivial atmosphere just steps from the beach. Meaning 'cultivated', Arva offers a menu by Executive Chef Stefano Artosin showcasing the freshest seasonal produce available, whether just-caught fish and seafood provided by local fisherman, free-range chicken or organic fruit and vegetables hand-picked at the island’s early morning farmers’ markets.
The menu includes a selection of antipasti, fresh pastas, risottos, hearty mains and sharing platters. Highlights include Spigola o Cernia al Forno (roasted whole sea-bass or grouper with Taggiasca olives, basil and pine nuts), Gamberoni ai Ferri (grilled marinated prawns with garlic cream and lemon zest) and Fiorentina (chargrilled Angus prime beef rib).More
Latin American flavours on the coast of Phuket
Celebrating a unique and vibrant food culture and the convivial spirit of Latin America, Amanpuri’s newest restaurant takes traditional Mexican street food as its central inspiration. Snacks and light dishes include Tiradito de Salmon and Tostadas al Pastor (crispy tacos filled with pulled pork, anchiote, pineapple and cilantro), as well as quesadillas, lime spiked ceviches, delicate salads and fresh salsas.
The extensive drinks list features handcrafted cocktails based on fiery Latin American spirits – rum, cachaca, pisco, tequila and mescal – with homemade syrups and tropical fruits complementing the Lounge’s cuisine. Perfectly suited to Amanpuri's balmy climate, the focus here is on freshness and vitality, with several raw and vegan options. More
