We were looking for somewhere nice to have a Sunday lunch and the Continental exceeded our expectations.The staff are very friendly and know how to guide you through the menu to ensure you get exactly what you want. Everything we ate was exceptional, each dish has it's own flavour the sauces on each dish is a standout so get the bread to clean up the plate. There is a good wine list which compliments the food. We loved our first meal at Johnny Fishbone. So handy to transport we commuted 20 Klm and it was worth it! Stepped inside great atmosphere one look around I could see happy faces at work the bar was great and the food was absolutely exceptional we are amazed at the high quality of food and the range of options on menu. Even the handwritten menu looked special . We ordered a Pino Gris from Orange and was told all about our choice prior to trying it was beautiful and so worth it too. Service was great but the food was the star of our night we loved everything we tried yum! We are coming back soon and are sending other family there next week ! The chef and kitchen staff all look so happy , food is creative clever and delicious ! This kind of food can only ever be supported by good management Fav dish of the night was toss up between wagu grained beef paper thin. And the swordfish wow ! "Omakase at Fujisaki is a unique dining experience. Each time Yoshii-San creates a menu tailored just for you as he takes you through a journey through the intricacies and variations of his style of sushi.
Yoshii-San was trained in one of the top sushi restaurants in Tokyo and completed his apprenticeship in Fukuoka. In 1997, he arrived in Australia and opened his eponymous restaurant firstly in the Darling Harbour precinct, before moving to The Rocks in 2002. Yoshii-San is famous for his adherence to the edomae style of sushi to which he adds his own twist.
The seats for the Omakase experience is limited to 5 at a time. While intimate, you’ll still feel the energy of the main dining room.
