Talula's Daily - Secret Supper Club
Amazing experience. Tasting menu and wine pairing were both fantastic. Portion size was great, especially for the price. Would definitely recommend!
The food was absolutely incredible and the service was amazing. A hidden gem in Philly.
Wonderful dinner. It was an Evening experience, were there over two hours. Did learn from our waiter BYOB is allowed, but their selection was good.
Their were happy to accommodate any dietary needs, we did not have them, but they were readily on guard.
We had a great time at the Secret Supper Club for New Year’s Eve! Our dinner was fantastic and we really enjoyed all of the dishes. I definitely want to come back another month! The price point was a little on the expensive side for what we got but that’s understandable since it was a holiday.
Great value on new year’s eve
Had a great time with our friends. We'd reserved for a party of 8 for the December menu of squash soup, beef and papardella, scallops, cheese and ginger bread pudding Food was delicious and our waitress Nicole was friendly and knowledgeable. Probably better to get bottles of wine than the pairings if not everyone is having something to drink at every course, which is what we did.
My only wish was that they had had a round table since we were such a large party, as couldn't talk to others at the opposite end of the table.
Service and food were impeccable! Perfect date night
You should be very hungry cause the portions are a lot bigger than you'd expect for a coursed meal. The food was delicious and service was excellent. The wine pairing was far too expensive for what you get however. Overall was a great supper and experience
Cannot rave about this place enough. Every time I come here the food is on point and the service is impeccable! Can’t sing the praises enough for Talula’s! Oh and Nicole is an amazing server!
Seasonal menu always delicious.
Excellent service and attention to the food.
We had a fun night with a 30 something Ca son visiting Philadelphia. Wanted a fun spot with great food and no decision-making on our parts so we could focus on each other not what we were ordering. Was like having a great dinner in a homey environment. Although we drove in froth 'burbs most tables were filled with folks form the Way Square neighborhood. Talula's Garden is great with aa lively bar scene but this venue is quiet and a super alternative. Prix fixe our night had the world's best braised short ribs over pasta plus plus plus.......
We went to Tallula's for our traditional family Christmas Eve dinner at a fine restaurant.
It was awesome with the special Prixe Fixe menu for Christmas Eve which also included drink pairings which went matched the courses splendidly. Our waitress was very informative and imparted a great spirit of adventurous cuisine as she explained each course and paired beverages. What was especially nice was
the substitution of mushroom for steak on one of the courses for 2 of our party that did not eat meat.
It was quiet and the servers were excellent at attending our needs unobtrusively.
The wine pairings were unique and a standout quality for this restaurant over others.
What great ambiance, food and service. Recommended for all
Another creative and tasty monthly menu. Love adding the beverage pairing as well. Meal was heightened by a friendly and knowledgeable server plus a well placed table near the kitchen.
Excellent food. Even if a dish sounds "common" it won't be the way they make it. Great wine pairings.
We were totally impressed with the food and the service!
Awesome great food great for a special occasion. Wines are expensive for the pour
Truly one of the best and most reliable restaurants in Philly. The monthly changing menu makes it an exciting place to return to multiple times throughout the year. The chefs practice at the top of their craft and the wait staff are friendly and attentive. Very highly recommended.
We have been to the restaurant in the past with a very positive experience, but this visit we felt the food was way too fatty and overly salty. After the second course we were unable to taste the next course because the fat and salt tastes from the prior course left an aftertaste on our tongues. In addition, the special add on course was advertised as a pate, but was nothing of the sort.
Our favorite spot to eat in Phialdelphia. This restaurant never disappoints.
The seasonal offerings for the supper club were fantastic. We enjoy eating at Talula’s garden, but have not had the opportunity to try the supper club until recently. It exceeded our expectations! We also got the wine pairing and it was well worth it. Our server was quite knowledgeable about all of the ingredients in both the wines and courses, which we greatly appreciated. We will be back in January with our families
My husband and I really enjoyed our meal. The seasonal ingredients were delicious and used inventively. We're making plans to bring friends in January (the January menu was already available and sounded so good).
Amazing service amazing food. Wine is pricey.
December menu was incredible. Best bread pudding of my life.
fantastic food, but in a very loud, casual environment with slow service. Overall I would say over priced for the experience, however I have a feeling I will be in the minority as all of our very close diners were raving about everything. It is a fancy dinner in a food court atmosphere with over energetic servers. We won't be coming back anytime soon, I doubt they will miss us.
Flawless and excellent all around. Very accommodating to my guest’s gluten allergy (the gluten-free chocolate dessert was even better than the gingerbread pudding).
Can’t say enough good things about this place - the food, the service, the ambience. We are so lucky to be able to experience this at such a reasonable price in philly - would recommend to everyone
A unique, some might say quirky , spot that comes across as one third deli and two thirds rustic farm-to-table establishment a few blocks from Independence Hall. There are few options since there is only one item on the menu, a 5 course tasting feast that changes monthly, but there seems to be some flexibility if there's a dietary issue; check ahead of time before committing to an evening. Everything we had merited the term gourmet, and the wine choices are extensive enough to please any reasonable palate. NB, there's a much larger, more formal affiliated restaurant 50 feet away which also offers a la carte dining. We didn't eat there, but stopped in briefly to have a look. Diners who want more of a choice, and conventionality, might consider that instead.
Fantastic food! Can't wait to go back
A delicious 5 course meal that perfectly balanced salty, savory, and sweet!
Food was too salty. The entrance is not inviting. Bad food for the price. Made reservations thinking it was a nice place not a cafe type entrance with wannabe chef’s salty food!!! Disappointed about this one.
Amazing!! We loved it. Food was fantastic and beautifully presented. Our server was knowledgeable and passionate about the food being presented. Can't wait to go back.
The excellence continues. Imaginative menus, great service, the Chez Pannise of Philadelphia. The Best
We were pleasantly surprised by everything here from the delicious food to the atmosphere. So glad we decided to eat here. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for high end food.
Great ambiance, amazing food and fantastic service.
Went for a friends birthday. Food was exceptional as was the service. Don’t eat too soon before going as you are served good portions for a fixed menu.
We will be back.
I travel to Philly fairly routinely to visit with my youngest daughter who now lives there. It is a hobby/pleasure of mine to seek out exciting menus and atmospheres for us to enjoy while there. For this particular trip, I travelled with my other daughter to celebrate her birthday with her sibling/my youngest in Philly.
Talula's is BY FAR my favorite restaurant I have dined in to date.....perhaps even outside of Philly.
Niclole was our server who was absolutely fabulous. She was polished, knowledgable, eager to please and clearly happy to be working there.
Niclole was well versed in all the wines so pairing per our tastes was a cinch. (just fyi, my son is an Advanced Somm whom we texted the wine menu seeking his advice for our pairings).....Nicole hit the 100% accuracy mark with each of his recommendations. Well done Nicole.
The menu was on point with the seasonal offerings. The mushroom bisque? Really incredible. The pork? Melted in our mouths.
The noise level was energetic while still being perfect for talking and hearing your dinner buds. The timing in which the courses came out was also perfect.
We were seated at the harvest table and loved our views looking out toward everything and everyone.
As we departed, I stopped at the open kitchen area to thank the chefs and they seemed pleasantly surprised.
Should you have the opportunity to dine here, be sure to give them a shout out too. They also deserve a big thank you. I can hardly wait to go back.
Went here for my boyfriend's birthday and it did not disappoint! We were happy with all of our dishes and were extremely full at the end (not always the case with little tasting bites). I'm usually pretty thrifty but opted for the the extra daily supplements of bussels sprouts and ant cheese and was pleased that I did (even though verbal menu items always make me sweat when the surprise price rolls around with the check). The serving of brussels was generous, delicious, and fairly priced at $12 and the ant cheese was only $5 for a small slice. We thought it was excellent value to money and the service was superb. I loved that the atmosphere was relaxed and we didn't need to dress up. Music was soft and there was a lot of space in between the tables so you could actually hear the other person talk unlike some places, I'm looking at you Audrey Claire. Overall I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have an intimate fine dining dinner without the stuffiness.
Excellent food and service. Love the rotating price fix menu and the wine pairing option was perfect for the different courses. Very good value for the quality of the meal. I highly recommend it.
Something calls to me
The October menu is drawing me here
I've got to find out why
Lauren’s gentle voice We hear
Explains it all with a smile
I can remember it all
From this sweet night
I can savor it again
Slipping out of sight
And the world still goes on, joy in the night
