Best pumpkin pancakes ever! Wait staff and host were friendly and displayed a nice sense of humor
Talula's once again knocks it out of the park. Highly creative and delicious food that plays out as a symphony on my taste beds, and leaves my head spinning. Just wow! And amazing how many young families with children were seated to enjoy Sunday brunch as well. All were made to feel welcome in this most elegant and attentive oasis. Thank you!
My BF and I went to Talula's for a date night dinner during out weekend "staycation" in the city.
Having booked a room at nearby Kimpton Monaco, Talula's seemed like the obvious choice- as I had never had a bad meal there before. This visit was no different. Our server was upbeat, friendly and helpful- despite our 'late' reservation time 930pm. I had the Potato and Leek Soup, which was to die for. Among us we also had the Lamb Pappardelle, Oysters, Sear Bass and Duck. It was also so delicious in an intimate and beautiful atmosphere. The perfect date night!
The pork dish was delicious but the textures were a little off. It was delicious pork belly but it was served with a bland and unremarkable purée. It lacked flavor, texture and it needed acid. The server was a little snooty and argued with us about a dish that we told her we had but she argued they didn’t serve.
We had a great experience and it started from a very knowledgeable wait staff. Elijah was very informative on explaining the dishes on the menu and was very attentive. The food was exceptional! We loved and enjoyed everything from the ambiance and the cuisine. We are from NYC and we’re totally satisfied with the choice of selecting this restaurant for our weekend getaway
Our server Danielle was excellent. Attentive but not hovering.
Jawn Fire. If you want fire jawn. Go here. Cause this jawn Fire. Like real heat. Fire.
I came to celebrate my birthday with a group of friends. My original reservation was for a party of 5 but turned out to be 7 of us. They quickly accomadated us and our server was great—efficient, knowledageble and friendly.
I had the Chilean sea bass and it was flavorful. I also tried my friends dishes that included the lobster ravioli (very delish and cant go wrong), duck (very juicy and tender) and salmon with Brussel sprouts (sprouts were good, salmon was okay). We also had international cheeses platter as an appetizer and they were all very flavorful.
Ambiance was moderate noise level seeing as to how busy it was but it wasn’t chaotic at all. All in all great food and good experience to share with friends.
We had a great meal at wonderful evening at Talula's Garden. Our servers were knowledgable and efficient. We were not rushed and got to enjoy a great evening in a beautiful setting. We will be back - hopefully, soon.
Food was great and the service was outstanding!
first visit everything was great will return. our server Ariel was very good
love this place. don't go often enough but loved it each time. love the outdoor but the wintertime visit was lovely as well. food and service awesome. eat the Brussels sprouts - you will not be sorry.
Really enjoyed it and will be back. Looking forward to warmer weather and sitting outside.
Great place with excellent choice of main course options. Everything was presented excellently and the staff was very attentive.
We chose Talula's Garden based on reviews. The cheese plate had a fabulous selection and we added a salami selection to the plate. We chose a selection with 6 cheeses which was perfect for the two of us.
For dinner we started with the Cornmeal fried oysters which were absolutely perfectly fried, crisp light coating and warm tender oyster inside. The cabbage slaw was yummy .
For our main dishes we had the Braised Lamb Papardelle (very tender noodles) and the Pork and Apples. The pork belly was beautifully crisp on the outside and melt in your mouth tender on the inside.
We just couldn't do dessert so we may have to go back sometime for the donuts!
Loved the space and table placements. Attentive waitstaff and very willing to pace the meal appropriately.
This was a special dinner for my daughter and I after going to the theatre. It was a wonderfully yummy and enjoyable relaxing dinner! Nalini was delightful! We did the tasting menu and loved every single taste!!!!
Great food and service! Always love going...........
We had a parking issue that colored the rest of the visit. First I will say that our brunch was delicious and the service was very good. However the restaurant offers a discount for parking at a nearby garage. The hostess gave me a card to use at the garage to obtain the discount but turns out it was expired. No discount. I contacted the restaurant but have not heard back yet. I realize that they are not required to offer a parking discount but if they do- make sure it works!
The menu is exactly the same as the past several years... it’s taking away from the experience, needs a change
The hosts were so rude. We arrived earlier than our reserved time, place was empty, and they made a big stink about “not having room” and “seating us closer” to our reservation time. They ended up making the accommodation but spare me the theatrics when I’m overpaying for food. The food was mediocre, donuts were under but the sauce was great. Overall would return in the summer at night, as the patio looks awesome.
We read about this restaurant in a magazine of the top 100 restaurants in USA. We were heading to Philly for the weekend and we booked two Philly restaurants that made the list. Talula's was absolutely outstanding. The ambiance, including a great bar area, were phenomenal. Service was outstanding. And most importantly, the food was delicious. From pumpkin risotto to pork belly and apples to pear salad to cheese tray . . . everything was outstanding. Truly deserves its ranking and highly recommended.
Very delicious, very rich French food! Delicious - the opening brioche tartlets were amazing! We had a rather supercilious waiter who spoke too fast when rattling off the specials and was a bit obtrusive. Inside the tables are very close together so if anyone moves from the table next to you, you will be disturbed. The outside eating area looks fabulous but alas, winter weather was not conducive to that. So I would recommend going in warmer weather for better ambiance. It’s a great restaurant but a few areas could be improved
We had heard so much about Talula’s and finally had the chance to try it. It did not disappoint! From the hostess’ greeting to the last sip of wine, it was amazing! The brioche bun with chive butter literally melted in your mouth. We started off with the mushroom toast which was so delicious! One portion could easy be shared. For entrees, my husband got the Scottish salmon and I had the beef with broccoli. Both were so incredibly tasty and generous portions. Highly recommend an evening at Talula’s!
Most of the food was very good to excellent. I particularly enjoyed the duck entree and the complimentary brioche than began the meal. My husband, however, later said that his scallops were overcooked and oversalted (but he did not say anything at the time). I was disappointed in our server, who gave unhelpful and misleading answers to questions. For example, I asked about the mushroom toast (described on the menu as "glazed mushrooms"), and was told that the mushrooms were sauteed, with no mention that they are mixed into a heavy cream sauce. It's a flavorful dish, but not one that I would have selected.
Took my wife to Talula’s Garden as a Christmas gift and was not disappointed. The food was incredible and the service was attentive and Christina was also very knowledgeable about the food and wine. We had a wonderful experience and look forward to returning.
Had dinner Saturday evening and overall it was pretty good. However, was not super impressed with the food, some of the flavors overpowered the dishes and just didn’t pair well together. Service was great though. Not sure I’d go back
The ambiance is fabulous. You must try the shrimp stew and the Brussels Sprouts. Very delish!!!! The Farmer, a spicy rimmed concoction that you must try.
Excellent food and service was very attentive and helpful.
An amazing night!!! This is my favorite restaurant in Philly!!!! I love, love , love it here!!! We were lucky that night, we had Nalini for our server!!! She is our favorite!!!! She goes out of her way to make sure everything is lovely and perfect . Also caught a glimpse of Vena and was greeted with a hug. She always remembers us and it’s always a complete pleasure to talk with her. Talula’s is a very special place. It’s like being in a dream. The food, the wine , the cheese selections, the ambiance, the china, the candles............ So beautiful. It’s every girls dream to dine here. Perfect date night!!!! Fit for a queen. 👑👑👸🏻👸🏻
Went for my 40th birthday, as I had been wanting to go for quite some time, and this was the perfect reason. From the moment we entered, we were attended to promptly & respectfully. The menu was quite diverse, yet not overwhelmingly so. Our food was excellent (I got the duck breast and my dining partner got a special offering of the short rib), and nice portions for a reasonable price. I am excited to go again in the warm months do I can enjoy the garden area.
The restaurant/chef has changed from the last time we were there. Each item used to be special. The portions now are much larger however the quality was down. The lettuce on our salad was not fresh, pears were not ripe. My salmon entree: the fish was good but it was surrounded by a very large portion of Brussels sprouts and other vegetables. My daughter had a chicken entree. The portion of chicken was huge. It was on a sweet potato purée which was good but then surrounded by many slices of fried sweet potatoes. It was too much and not a good presentation. My wife was served a sparkling rose that was flat and we had to send back. Overall a disappointing experience for what used to be our favorite restaurant.
Beautiful dinner experience to celebrate our anniversary!
Amazing place - wonderful staff and delicious food
Small but wonderful bar and interesting cocktails. The good is outstanding, as was the service. Talula's is expensive but worth it for a special occasion or just to experience an amazing restaurant.
Absolutely incredible meal w friends tonight. First time at Talulas and wow, from start to finish everything was spot on. Cocktails, cheese course, starters, wine, pastas, main plates, desert. Everything was phenomenal. Get the mushroom toast! Our server was amazing and super knowledgeable with the food. Cannot wait to return.
everything was outstanding from the minute you walk in the door.
my only disappointment was that their wine list prices are very inflated
Always good. My favorite “go to” for brunch before matinee theatre.
Service was exceptional. Our waitress was very friendly and wanted to make sure we were taking care of. We were even given a little treat towards the end. I would definitely recommend Talula's Garden for brunch best to make reservations though
Sunday brunch is fabulous. One of the best in the city, especially for special occasions. Food is delicious, service is attentive.
The food was amazing--we enjoyed every single thing. The service was outstanding from the reception, coat check to the wait staff to the manager. It was shocking actually that every single person we encountered was lovely.
