Yes, good food, but the food was on the heavier side
Our food was very good. However, we felt very rushed. We ordered drinks an appetizer and entrees. Our appetizer came out with our entrees. We were slightly disappointed because we wanted our appetizer first. The server took it back and we ate our entrees. I had the lamb shank which was very good. My husband had the mani mahi and he loved it. Our dessert which was the coffee creme brûlée was amazing. We had it with a special coffee drink that paired very well with the dessert.
Really loved our night out at the Terra Bistro. Great staff that were very attentive. Crab cake for an app was delicious (just wish there were two to share). My husband and I had the pork dish and the filet - both were excellent, full of flavor and just the right amount. We finished off with a chocolate molten cake....yum!
The food had no flavor and the choices in the menu were very limited
hadn’t been there in years. still terrific all around!!!
I would probably recommend terra Bistro but I would warn my friends that it is incredibly noisy for an expensive restaurant.
Food was excellent as was service.
The food is outstanding, and the menu is varied enough to satisfy all different palettes. The restaurant lacks any special ambiance and our service wasn't great, but we'll definitely go back at least for take-out!
The food was delicious, tuna tos and crab cakes. Salmon, pork chop (a star!) crispy chicken all were flavorful and well done. The molten cake also delicious. The only unbecoming part was that the tables (on the bench seating) are WAY too close. We basically had dinner with people on both sides of us, and one of them was not having a pleasant evening. The proximity was definitely a downer. Food is fantastic and our server, Katie, was great.
My husband and I agree- our dinner at Terra Bistro was the best by far in Vail. The chicken nuggets to start were delicious. I had the chicken dish and he got the filet - both were spectacular. We loved the portions.. they were perfect. Finished off a wonderful dinner with the affagato. Overall, A++. & our New Zealand waiter was amazing!!
Everything was great except it was so hot we should have worn tank tops and shorts. Mysteriously it got very cold around 9:30pm when staff was cleaning up and was closing.down.
Overall it was very very good and waitstaff was amazing.
Vegan options were good as well.
We were in Vail for the afternoon. Chose Terra Bistro to celebrate my friends 60th. What a perfect choice for such an occasion!
We thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Table by the fireplace, Ollie and amazing guy for an assistant waiter. Very personable service with impeccable timing. Filet was amazing as was the soup and au gratin potatoes! The best!
This is our second time here. Both times have been excellent. The cauliflower soup is excellent. I had the lamb shank which was perfect. My wife had the grilled tofu which was good and flavorful could have been more substantial for $31. We will come back again.
The food was delicious. We had a 7.15 booking and the entrees probably came out too quickly after the starter . The lacking part of this restaurant is the ambience . It needs a revamp. Some more experienced and waitstaff would also be of benefit. Compared to other restaurants in Vail the waitstaff weren’t as polished.
Food was very good, especially the Brussel sprouts! If you go, ask to be in the main dining room. We were in a back room which didn’t have nearly as nice an ambiance.
Excellent food, relaxing and nicely decorated interior. This is a winner every time we visit Vail. Extensive wine list as well.
Underwhelming all the way around
Excellent service and food . Whenever we are in Vail we make it a point to eat at Terra Bistro
Service was excellent, from check-in to exit. The food was amazing, extensive wine list, lovely atmosphere. A new Vail favorite for us!
Has changed since we were there 2 years ago. Food was not good at all.
Do not pass on the opportunity to eat at this superb establishment.
From the hostess to the wait staff and most importantly...the food you just have to make Terra Bistro a part of your Vail experience.
Everything was excellent, as usual. I eat here every time I come to Vail.
Terra Bistro is a great restaurant - and our dinner was excellent. I usually give it 5 stars, but this night it was packed, had we not been running late, we likely would have had to wait over 15 minutes, and we were tucked in a back corner. We still had a lovely time - but just not the usual 5-stars.
Delicious menu, good service, wonderful evening for our party of six. Thank you!
FABULOUS as usual. Have been coming here for years and years. Never disappoints.
The people at the table next to ours were having a grand time "in their cups" so the
volume of their speech became a bit annoying. That is why I put a lower grade for the
sound. I sent two other groups over this year and both came back with rave reviews.
Thanks for making me look good!
Excellent service and tasty dinners. We will return.
Waiter was great and so were his recommendations! The somliaer was perfect.
Best meal we had in Vail. Curry cauliflower soup was amazing. Salmon tater tots, Striped bass & cod were delicious. Chocolate torte & warm chocolate cake were outstanding. Waiter was excellent. Ambience is delightful.
The food was really good, differentiated
Made reservation 2 months in advance and got the worst table in the house. Wait staff mediocre.
Love Terra Bistro! Probably my favorite restaurant in Vail. Service is excellent, menu is unique, food is fresh and delicious. Super nice restaurant but not pretentious.
Really loud in room where we ate - had to confront another group
Friend raved about duck and salmon
We had a lovely dinner on Valentine's day. The food was so yummy and the presentation of the food fabulous. Terra Bistro has always been one of my favorite places and will continue to be when the food is this good!
Our server was terrific. That said, the vegan dishes, we tried both, were not particularly inventive. The trumpet mushrooms were over salted and I really could not eat them. Many of the main dishes seemed to share the same side dishes, which seemed odd for this caliber of restaurant. I usually enjoy tasting my husband’s side dishes but we had the same sides.
We were placed in a back dining room which used to be a patio. It was very loud and dark and unappealing.
Food was simply not good, spicy, over cooked and did not reflect what the menu described on several of our dishes.
Disappointed to say the least.
I was awesome. We most appreciated our server who split our salad for us and rx a perfect wine!! The food was delicious
TB could use some more medium priced wines. All the wine experts at the table thought wines were too expensive.
Great food and wonderful service at this vail “must go to” restaurant. It is ever evolving it’s wonderful menu and could to use to be one of our family favorites.
Amazing and a great staff! Definitely going back! The wagau was peerfect and paired perfectly with a fairly priced Zinfandel! Hghly recommend.
