The Davenport Signature Buffet
Champagne Sunday Brunch is the perfect way to round off every weekend or celebrate a special holiday event. Large parties welcome.
Disappointed that they ran out of Tomahawk at carving station after we were told twice it was on its way. My dad wanted that especially but I guess with a 1230 reservation you lose.
For a first date we had a very enjoyable time and were not rust. I think we were the last people to leave.
Needless to say, any event at the Davenport is ALWAYS top notch. The selection was extra special for the Father's day brunch so that was nice. Our server was terrific and SO patient with my mother in laws request for MANY photos :) The only drawback to the brunch is the noise level, which cannot be avoided in a ball room setting. We were a party of 4 and still had to shout to hear one another, and that takes away from the elegant ambiance and experience. Though, I'm not sure there is anything they can do about that.
The dining room wasn’t full, but we still had to continue to ask for service like more coffee, water, and orange juice as well as clearing of plates when we went back to the buffet. We had better food and service when we have come for no particular reason but to enjoy good food and friends. I don’t think we’d go for a special occasion again.
Fabulous, best buffet we’ve ever been to and we’ve been to many of them in different states, highly recommend.
Excellent food! Wide selection and everything was great!
Didn’t feel particularly special this time around. Food was pretty good.
At $50 a person, it is too much money to pay for overcooked prime rib, dry halibut, and mini gyros that were hard and dry. The best part was the shrimp cocktail. There are better buffets for less money.
Always a great time with wonderful food! The crepes are a must have!
Great time and wonderful service! I would definitely go back and take a few of my friends. It’s a great place to meet and to mingle. The dining area looks like something out of an old medieval movie.
It seemed very loud in our dining area and there were small children at the table next to us getting their own food from the buffet (no adult supervision)and unfortunately spilling it/dropping plate as they hurried back to their table. This happened multiple times. Also, it didn’t seem that busy for our reservation time, but we had to clear our own table of dirty plates so that we could go back to the buffet line. We had started stacking our plates in the center of the table, but then the stack started piling up! Although the food was delicious, the dining environment was noisy, unclean and somewhat chaotic with the children running about.
Phenomenal place for Brunch- excellent food and atmosphere.
Felt rushed as bill was put on table while we were finishing up first serving of fruit and eggs. We were seated at 1130. Came back from getting dessert and table had been cleared of everything including unpaid bill. Coffee was lukewarm on 2 separate pourings and had to ask for cream twice. Asked for small 2 egg size omelette but was given 3-4 size amount, and then she said she maybe over did it on the amount of egg but did not correct it, and then bragged on how she hoped this was the best part of the experience. I was finishing up dessert and they cleared table. Not up to normal standard for this brunch.
I was a little disappointed with the menu. I printed the menu and it didn't have the ribs that it
said was on the menu. For future, need to update menu if your not going to have something you
say you are going to have
What an awesome experience. We loved all the staff. I would highly recommend.
We have enjoyed the buffet once, every year, typically in mid-May. The service is always wonderful, and the food stations for omelets and crepes are my favorite. Slightly disappointing is that, though we go only once a year, it always seems to be the same. And though many enjoy that consistency, it'd be nice to have a variety from year to year. The once thing they use to serve, that they no longer do, is the Guinness braised short ribs. Those were my favorite. While I love prime rib, and I know it's supposed to be rare, it always seems a little too much so. And though this is mere chance, the last two years we've sat in the main dining room, as opposed to the Palm Court. We always enjoy that a little more. Overall, this is a wonderful treat each year, though at $50 a person, once a year is all we can do. We love coming here, and the never-ending mimosas sure don't hurt. The service was great, and for the most part, the food is pretty good. I'm sure we'll keep showing up every May, at least for a few more years.
We love the Davenport and have come to the Mother's Day brunch almost every year for the past 12 years. However, we cannot believe how the same meal has literally more than doubled in price since we first started coming. We know prices of things have come up but your price is ridiculous for the value. We won't be back. It just isn't worth it for us any longer.
The food was amazing and the hotel ballroom was beautiful! We'll be back again.
Mama Mary did a fantastic job taking care of us. Food was amazing. Decor was beautiful. Just wish people would dress for the occasion. Flip-flops, shorts, jeans, t-shirts and trucker hats is not appropriate attire for a Mother’s Day Brunch at a historical FIVE-STAR hotel. Why don’t people dress up any more - especially the men? It is just embarrassing. How hard is a dress shirt, tie, nice slacks and some dress shoes?? Do we need to bring dress codes back?
Was very overpriced. Have been there numerous times for brunch but for mother’s day found the price hike to be excessive
A wonderful treat to enjoy. Sublime food, excellence in service.
Great food. Great variety. Kids loved chocolate fountain.
Best food! Amazing atmosphere! Great customer service!!!
Mother's Day brunch
Speaking as someone who lives in Spokane. Coming to the Davenport for Sunday Brunch is a nice one time treat. I say one time because the price is quite a bit more than the average Spokanite can afford. The food was very good; unfortunately, the service left a bit to be desired. Our server was Robert. He is a friendly man and a good representative for the Davenport, however, he wasn't very attentive to our needs. We had to flag him down a couple of times for coffee refills. There seemed to be only one other person on the floor with him, so I attribute most of his inattentiveness to the fact that he didn't have much help. For couples that want a quiet, special morning together, the main buffet area wasn't really the right place because there were children under foot. Maybe consider a different room for families with children or couples celebrating a special occasion. Lastly, with the children about comes situations that aren't always suitable for restaurants, like breast feeding, for instance. The family at the table next to us had a toddler and an infant. About half way through our meal, the infant woke up and the mother breastfed him, thereby exposing her breast to those around her. I don't fault the Davenport or their employees but if one of the servers noticed it (like Robert who was standing there talking to her), I would hope they would discreetly ask her to cover herself. Thank you for our time.
We were from out of town and very excited to try this Easter Brunch at the Davenport. We were extremely disappointed in everything. We waited approximately 10 minutes before a server approached us for drinks. Food selection was very limited and not good. The price of this brunch was outrageous. Two people cost over $200 with tip. There was no ambiance, very loud and hectic. Very disappointed, sorry to say.
We attend Easter brunch every year and are never disappointed.
I was disappointed with Easter brunch. The food was not spectacular. The only thing that was worth writing home about was the French toast. There were also way too many tables packed into the room, it was almost impossible to get up to go get your food. And the service was mediocre. Our drinks were empty several times & had to wait more than 10 minutes before we could flag down anyone, not even our server for a refill. Not to mention the other diners were rude & inconsiderate with a touch of entitlement. I will not return to the champagne brunch & would not recommend anyone spend their hard earned $ on it, especially on a holiday when it is $20 more/pp.
I love the Davenport Buffet! The food and ambiance is always fantastic. My favorite is the coconut passion fruit panna cotta.
This buffet never disappoints!! We love it! We’ll be back again and again!
The food was amazing and the service was the best that I have ever received.
The food and dining experience was excellent. Wait staff was attentive keeping glasses filled and clearing used dishes from tables. We will definitely be returning.
We had a great experience! The customer service was outstanding. The service was amazing and it was absolutely beautiful inside and out. It was my first time here and truely was a great experience. The only thing was I had a 100$ gift card and once we were checking out they checked the balance in the back and it didn't go through so unfortunately they ran my debit card for the full amount... She corrected it in the end but meaning that we had to cancel our reservations at another place for 2/25 for our anniversary, as it will take the bank 7-10 business days to correct to error meaning I'm down 245$ instead of 64$.. oh well.. we had a great time all in all and it was a beautiful place to have brunch.
We had a great experience ! The food was delicious and the service was beyond wonderful. Refills of mimosa were prompt as well as clearing of used plates. The price was well worth it. there was such a variety it was hard to choose. Our 6 yo loved the dessert section with chocolate fountain !! Will definitely be back !!
It is definitely a five star meal in terms of quality and choice of food. But make sure you are HUNGRY so you can eat enough to get your money’s worth! Save room for dessert too! The dessert options are amazing!
I love the quality of food, the ambiance of where you eat your meal and I love the wait staff, especially Robert. The only thing I wish is the food in the metal containers was a little hotter.
Fabulous food, stunning setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our special day at the Davenport!
This buffet is not like it used to be. Not much of a selection for the price and the quality of the food has gone way downhill.
The food was delicious. We had reservations and were seated right away. Refills on drinks were very slow (more ice for the ice tea would have been welcome, too). But the overall experience was not good for what was supposed to be a special occasion for us. My husband (who is 5'11 and average weight) was sitting in a chair that broke. He fell to the floor. Fortunately he bounces well, was not hurt and has a good sense of humor but it was embarrassing and really soured the overall experience for us. This was our first time here. I don't know if we will be back.
