The Little Owl
Such an adorable restaurant with amazing dishes! Chilaquiles is simple and spicy, great eggs. Bacon is a must, same with the beignets. Definitely will be coming back!
A dependably delicious place - a bit noisy, but the food, service, the windows and the food - always fantastic
We’ve been dining at the Little Owl since it’s been open. It never disappoints!!
We love your restaurant but do wish it was a bit quieter. It is really hard to have a conversation with 4 or more people.
We made a last minute reservation for 8:45. We arrived 30 min. early and were greeted with complimentary Prosecco while we waited. Lovely table for 2 and Jorge was exceptional. The corn soup tasted like the corn was just picked and the juices squeezed into the soup. Yummy, but not overly heavy. The sunflower salad with golden beets and toasted sunflowers was lightly dressed. It was a nice starter. Pan seared Monkfish with brown butter and leek risotto was the special and tasted like it just came from the boat to the restaurant. Super fresh and not over cooked. The Albariño was a perfect choice to go with the fish. We split the chocolate cake soufflé with espresso gelato. It reminded me of a molten chocolate cake, but lighter and the gelato paired well. Finally, Jorge treated us to Little Owl’s take on a beignet. It was light and had a lovely tangy rhubarb sauce. While not a New Orleanian’s idea of a beignet, it was tasty. Looking forward to returning next time we are in the city.
Friends suggested Little Owl as it was their favorite in the Village. Loved everything about our experience.
Everything we tried at The Little Owl was amazing, and the service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back, and highly recommend it to others!
Amazing food, and excellent service. A small, intimate venue. Drinks were expensive and the wine list was minimal but the rose turned out to be the drink of choice. It made for a perfect evening.
The atmosphere was so nice and the staff were excellent. We had brunch and the food was delicious!
Food, service and atmosphere were completely enjoyable!
Lovely little restaurant in picturesque Greenwich Village. Delicious food and good service. Happy to finally get a reservation at this popular spot.
It’s a small little gem of a restaurant. The owner Chris was extremely nice and accommodating. We decided to wait for a table and he brought out cups of champagne for our inconvenience. It’s a hard reservation but definitely worth the effort
Absolutely fantastic food and service! A charming little place that will continue to make our list for upcoming visits when we are in the city
Great little spot. Excellent ambience, service and food. Eat here if you can.
Really cute restaurant with tons of natural light and lots of charm. Food was terrific and service was outstanding. We will definitely be back!
Such a great little place. Great food. Loved the fontina biscuits. Loved the neighborhood too. Perfect Sunday brunch
I cam to this place recommended by a friend as a "Solid" brunch in the West Village, need to say I was disappointed as my expectation was high. The place is a lovely small restaurant but food was very average.
Service is nice.
It was my second lunch at The Little Owl and it was again wonderfully delicious.
Loved the food. I typically don’t eat red meat and never eat pork chop because too dense and dry. Lots of hype about their pork chop and a strong recommendation by my neighbor, I decided to try it ...I was hungry. I LOVED it. Moist and flavorful. When it was brought out my immediate reaction was wow, a double cut....no way I can finish it. Well I not only finished it I overcame my reluctance and picked up the bone and ate what was left in the bone ...the best!!!!!
I’m definitely going back again
Truly outstanding service. The food is very fresh, well plated and flavors are perfectly layered. We will definitely be back! Highly recommended!
We had a great lunch at Little Owl.
Awesome place! Thanks!!
Each visit here is SO wonderful, it’s hard to come up with new superlatives. I can’t think of another restaurant where the bar is set so high in anticipation of our visit, and then is exceeded every time. Every bite was delicious, and the welcome and service were as warm as ever. A total pleasure and we can’t wait for our next visit - this Saturday night!!!
I live in the neighborhood. I love this place. It always delivers. Today, I had to laugh at my Arnold Palmer. LOVE this glass.
Fantastic place and food.
Had an incredible meal here, great service, really feels like a family-run place. Meatball sliders were exceptional. I only wish the music wasn’t quite so blaring!
Lovely dinner but uncomfortably loud.
Just a perfect place for a relaxing meal with a few friends. Service is unpretentious and efficient. I always feel like they truly care about my overall experience.
Actually the noise level was too loud, but they don't let you comment on this for the survey (energetic???really? no, loud)....My husband and our friends had an unusual experience at The Little Owl as our reservation, for 9:15 pm, was on an evening of a major thunderstorm. When we arrived the small restaurant was packed, and the two areas which would seat 4 people were both occupied (one table was paying their bill but did not want to leave). The gentlemen who was responsible for seating guests couldn't have been better -- he gave us free glasses of champagne, and watched very carefully and seated us as quickly as he (politely) could -- it took about 15-20 minutes (not terrible for a busy NY restaurant). Our server was excellent and I found the food & wine absolutely superb. I would have give the restaurant a 5 except for the overly-loud music in a cramped space (all restaurants in NY are like this -- I wish they'd tone it down!).
Great atmosphere, amazing food, and fantastic service. We had a great night at the little owl and are looking forward to go back.
A wonderful time. Don't rush. The staff is great and also not in a hurry.
We LOVE The Little Owl. Our favorite restaurant in NYC!
Excellent food and service. Only issue was that we had to wait 35 minutes even though we were on time for our reservation.
I have lived in NYC for 2 years, one of the best meals I have had here. Everyone that works there is very friendly and accommodating as well.
It's beautiful, with windows all around so we could enjoy the sunny day. The staff is lovely and welcoming. The decor is charming. The food was excellent. Most of us had breakfast food, but my eggplant parmigiana was the best I ever had. I say that because I wanted cheese left off the top, which restaurants can rarely do. They prepared it that way, and that left the most delicious roasted eggplant with no cheese and delightful tomato sauce. Their salad dressing is light and lemony.
They only have one dessert, which they put a birthday candle in for us. It is really great, but you should note that there is only one dessert ( it was basically donut holes with raspberry filling and nutella outside). A success of a birthday lunch!
Zero complaints! We had a delicious brunch here. The food was well done, flavorful and perfectly prepared. Get the gravy meatball sliders, they are outstanding. Both dishes we tried were delicious though. Service was very friendly and attentive. They do a great job of making you feel welcome and at home. The space is small, but noise level was okay, even quiet considering. It's cozy, but feels fun dining in the "Friends" building and the walls of windows adds to the ambiance. They still had seating at 10am when they open for brunch, but they started to fill up. We had a reservation and would definitely recommend one if coming later mid-morning or for dinner.
Special place for the discerning pallet
My wife and I were looking for a delightful epicurean respite, and we got warmth, great food and delightful service, a cozy atmosphere in a wonderful neighborhood setting
Small, intimate setting. Service excellent. $100 bill for breakfast for 2, including main, one shared side, one beverage and one cocktail each.
Wonderful atmosphere in this cosy small restaurant, delicious food and friendly staff!
