The food was very good and the ambience inside the restaurant was great with a nice roaring fireplace. However, at least half the tables, including ours, were on an uninsulated enclosed Patio with no heat and it was below 30 degrees outside. There was no mention of this in booking the reservation. The food was very good. It was Valentine's Day and they seemed to be very understaffed. We waited 20 minutes before anyone brought us water and menus. We ordered one small appetizer and then waited over an hour for our entrees. The waitress was great and very apologetic but it was not a great experience, especially for a romantic evening. The food was very good so I would try it again on just a regular night.

Keeping in mind that it was New Years Eve….. however… our reservation was for 9:15pm … we did not get to our table until 10:20… we were told to wait in some “basement type” room for our table.. there were others there waiting as well.. one couple when asked at 9:30 pm what time their reservation was, replied 8:30pm they got seated at 9:40pm! There were four of us in our party and we had a commitment for a New Year’s Eve celebration at another location… we got our salad and first course and then waited and waited ….. for the main course it finally arrived at 11:30!!! Who wants to eat a steak dinner at 11:30 pm??? Once we were served we asked for our check immediately… we skipped the dessert part of our pre fix meal and left eating only half of our main course so as to not be late for our New Year’s Eve celebration elsewhere!!! Again, I know it was New Year’s Eve HOWEVER… this complex… hotel, spa and restaurant was recently acquired by a large hotel chain…. 0…zero on a scale of one to 10 for this company! The matre d did not even apologize for the poorly planned flow of the evening!! The waiter was excellent and I believe understood our frustration… the food quality was good the chef (from previous owners) was still there…. We sat in the establishment for 2 hours and 20 minutes!!!!!!! I will never recommend this establishment to friends or enemies!! I am not being pretentious here, but I have eaten all over this world.. Michelin star places on down… this place is a joke!! Reviews from the hotel are very similar… shame of this company and I do hope their venture with establishments in Provincetown is short lived …they may want to look into acquiring “lemonade stands”… they should be able to improve standards in that arena….maybe?

The food, service and atmosphere were all exemplary. Upscale menu with well thought out and perfectly prepared dishes. From the moment Chris greets you at the door you feel like family. Our servers last night were Darren and Dale, terrific, but we've never had anything other than great service at The Pointe. The rack of lamb was perfectly cooked, and the poached lobster over pappardelle was, as always, excellent. It's easily our favorite dish. Highly recommend The Pointe for an intimate romantic dinner, or just a get together with friends.

Lovely Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings at the Crown Pointe Inn and Spa. Big portions of turkey and tasty but maybe a bit dry. Nice view of the Pilgrim Monument lit up for Christmas. Tables a bit close but depends on where you sit. Great breakfasts with nice friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. Definitely will stay again!

We are always happy to have dinner here. The food has been consistently the best in P town throughout the years. The kitchen has the necessary savoir-faire that makes all the difference. And the menu offers the right type and amount of selections. Last, The service is always great, the staff quite professional, and it’s a super cute setting.

You people should be investigated. We went to The Pointe after making a reservation. We could only select 6:45pm. We showed up a bit early and the place was completely EMPTY of diners. We were the only ones there. How could you have listed 6:55 as the only reservation for that date?? I will never ever use Open Table to reserve a table again.

The cooks don’t know how to cook. We wanted burgers med to medium rare. At breakfast the next morning my wife’s omelette looked like it was scraped off the floor. My eggs over easy were hard as a rock. Find some new cook staff.

FAQs

Casual dress is the stated dress code. Guests commonly dine in smart-casual attire that matches the restaurant’s casual-elegant tone, comfortable but neat clothing is appropriate for the dining room and patio.

There’s no formal waiting-list policy published, but guests report long waits during holidays and busy nights (NYE, Valentine’s) and being asked to wait in a holding area. Reservations are recommended; for peak dates expect delays and possible standby waits, calling ahead and arriving on time helps, and the staff may advise on expected wait times.

Weekdays or non-holiday evenings are often best for a relaxed experience, guests frequently praise attentive service and availability on less-busy nights. Because hours and service can be seasonal, check current opening days (the restaurant lists limited weekday dinner hours in some periods) and book ahead; if you prefer patio dining, pick a mild-weather weekend or calm weekday evening.

Yes, The Pointe offers outdoor seating on a porch/patio and garden area that guests enjoy for views (Pilgrim Monument) and pleasant summer evenings. Reviews mention patio dining among the highlights; note some enclosed patio areas may be uninsulated in cold weather, so check seasonal availability.

Family-friendly, yes. Guests report celebrating birthdays and bringing family, including teens and children, and many reviews describe relaxed, welcoming service for groups. Accessible seating specifically isn’t mentioned in guest feedback or owner info, so if you need wheelchair access or other accommodations call ahead and the staff can advise and prepare.

Aim for a regular weekday evening or an early seating for a more relaxed experience. Guests note the restaurant can be extremely busy on holidays (Valentine’s Day, New Year’s Eve) and sometimes understaffed then. Off-season or early-in-the-evening reservations often feel quieter and more attentive, while peak summer nights and holiday dinners are busiest.

Yes, guests frequently note personalized service and helpful staff, so calling ahead to request seating, dietary accommodations, or celebration notes is recommended. Reviews describe staff stopping by tables for birthday congratulations and being accommodating with party size changes. Because the menu and staffing can vary by season or holiday, a quick call ensures the team can meet special requests.

Current published hours list dinner service on Thursday and Friday from 6:15 pm to 9:00 pm. Many guest reports reference service throughout the season and holiday dinners (Thanksgiving, NYE), so hours may change seasonally. To avoid surprises, call the restaurant or check their website for updated hours and holiday service before you go.

Warm, cozy, and casually elegant, guests frequently describe a relaxed yet refined vibe with historic architecture, a roaring fireplace, and a charming porch/patio with monument views. The restaurant is often praised for attentive, friendly service and a buzzing atmosphere in season. Note that during holiday rushes some guests found service slow due to staffing or high volume.

Yes, The Pointe has hosted special holiday meals (guests reference Thanksgiving dinners and New Year’s Eve prix-fixe events), so it does open for certain holidays and seasonal events. Hours and special menus vary for holidays, so call ahead or check announcements for holiday reservations and menus.

Yes, The Pointe is frequently recommended for a romantic evening. Guests praise the cozy, intimate dining room, a roaring fireplace, and a lovely porch/patio with monument views that make it popular for couples. Service is often described as warm and professional, though holidays (Valentine’s Day, NYE) can be busy and understaffed; for a smooth date night aim for a regular evening or an early reservation.

Portions are generally generous and good value, guests often mention ample servings and leftovers from dinner. The menu lists specific portion sizes for mains (for example, Steak Frites 10 oz, Jerk Pork Chop 12 oz, Pointe Burger 9 oz), and Thanksgiving/holiday meals are described as large. Expect full-size entrees rather than tasting portions, with sides like parmesan risotto or fries served alongside.
