Tower Oaks Lodge
The ambiance at the Restaurant good food, great menu selection something for everyone ...plus good prices, great location what more can you ask for . When someone says lets meet for lunch or dinner I always say Tower Lodge.
Extraordinary decor. Much nicer during the week (less crowded) but always a good bet with visitors
ordered appetizer and entree. Everything came out at once. Waitress (stella)could not understand the issue offered to rewarm the soup that we had to stop eating as the entree would have gotten cold
My whole family always enjoys the food and service quality at Tower Oaks Lodge. We always gave it high rating. However, we werer very disappointed when we were there last Sunday night. First, we were told we were given wrong/out-of-date dinner menu when we were ready to order. And then our waitress was too busy to tend to our table while the restaurant was not full (70%). (She just disappeared.). Our fried appetizer was served lukewarm/cool. And lamp shank entree was not prepared correctly. It had strong smell. Shrimps in entree pasta were dry and hard to chew.
Not sure why this happened. Let's hope this was just one incident.
We love Tower Oaks Lodge! Another great meal and great service!
Very disappointed in the food. This used to be one of our favorite "go to" restaurants. My husband ordered the Rockfish Special. It was literally two bites. He complained to the waiter who did bring him another piece. The Crab and Artichoke Dip was yummy. My son liked his French Dip. My salmon salad was okay. My daughter also had the Rockfish which was a 6 oz. portion. 6oz. is not much. The ambiance is still one of the best in the area; too bad it's better than the food.
Food was very good. Waiter was very inattentive to the point we had to keep running
for the manager. They did offer to comp us another meal.
It was very noisy. Waiter was a bit overwhelmed. Food was good as usual.
Food seemed mass produced and over priced for the portions. Very disappointed and will not go back. I've been a few times over the past couple of years and each time it seems less and less worthwhile.
The food was for the most part good, except for my shrimp capellini - the shrimp were overcooked, as was the capellini, and the sauce was dreadful. My spouse liked the haddock, however. We shared the apple/arrugula salad, which was tasty. The desserts we picked were the brownie sundae and the apple pie, both of which were fine. The service was great as usual. Hoping for a better meal next time.
Everything was great! Staff very friendly
Consistently good service and food. You always know what to expect and there is something for everyone.
Always consistenly good food Nd great service.
We have eaten here dozens of time and I don't think I have ever been disappointed. I have liked some menu items better than others and some tables better than others, but all in all I feel like it is a good choicefor a good meal. The St. Patrick's week menu was probably not one of my favorites so I went with one of the salads which was quite good. My biggest gripe is the parking. I know there is Valet parking and in a pinch I will drop the car, but I prefer not to.
I have eaten at Clyde's before at other locations and really enjoyed it. Tower Oaks was no exception. Four of us had dinner here on St. Patrick's day. The menu was tailored to St. Patrick's Day so I am not sure about the regular menu but all of our meals were quite good. Two of us had seafood and they said it was quite good. My chicken club sandwich was very good and reasonably priced. Service was excellent - friendly and efficient. This place is hard to spot from the main roads but worth the visit. The decor is rustic with an open timber building. Good spot to get a reasonably priced meal!
What a fun place for St. Patrick's Day ! Their Irish menu items were phenomenal ( Our table shared quite a few ) There was a strolling bagpiper and a "leprechaun " looking for his pot of gold and handing out green necklaces. The restaurant is unique and beautiful in a gorgeous wooded setting. It makes for a wonderful escape from the city.
Love the Adirondack "great camp" style. Good food. Reasonable price.
We went here for a St. Patricks Day brunch. The place was decorated nicely and they even had bagpipes.
It was St Patrick's Day, so there was a man playIng the bagpipes. It was very loud and we couldn't talk to each other without screaming for about half the time we were there. Annoying, but understandabl given the holiday. Next time, we would steer clear of the restaurant on holidays.
I ordered the steak salad with shallot sherry vinagrette. The frisse, frizzled leeks and braised fennel make it wonderful. Very nice presentation and the steak cooked perfectly as I asked. My husband enjoyed his corned beef sandwich- (St Patrick's Day) and my son enjoyed the french dip sandwich.
This was a very busy night for the restaurant and service was never compromised.
Mixed drinks were poorly made, in fact horrible!
It's one of our regular stops. Good prices, interesting menu.
Will not go back so close to St Patrick's day or any other holiday. The room was very noisy. The wait staff hard to find.
I dine here regularly for lunch ith a friend and it is always a good experience.
Extensive menu with lots of great selections. Reminds me of the Ahwanee Hotel in Yosemite.
Skip the Shrimp and rosa sauce. TOO MUCH PASTA. Stick with their basics. Half price wine night on Mondays didn't hurt. Make sure you pick one of the dining rooms that aligns with your style and preference. It makes a huge difference in how you experience this place.
went for bday dinner; had the fillet mignon. tasty as always; chili was wonderful; my husband's favorite the rueben was tasty, lean and just wonderful.
Always enjoy eating at your restaurant. Food is always good and the service is normally very good. Very much like the setting in the back room where the canoes are. I find the room where you first walk in more formal and at times very noisy. I also like the bar area very much. Great place to have a drink and eat something like a sandwich or have an appitizer.
Its a very pretty place... but the service was not what I thought it have been.
The food was not tasty
It's always a wonderful experience!
I went here for Sunday brunch with a couple girlfriends. Everyone was very friendly and our server did a great job getting us any refills we needed and ensuring that our food came out quickly. The manager stopped by our table as well to check on how we were doing. I ordered the Eggs Chesapeake which come with their house potatoes - the eggs were delicious, but the potatoes were amazing! Be sure to order something that comes with them. I'd definitely like to go back to check out the bar too. It looks like both of them were pretty expansive. Overall, we had a really great experience and will be returning in the near future!
My husband and I enjoyed a dinner at TOL on Saturday, especially the liver and onions, the bread and cheese cubes that are only offered on Fridays and Saturdays and obviate the need for a big appetizer, and the gorgeous ice cream of the day - caramel Heath bar crunch - along with homemade whipped cream. In fact, my favorite item was the ice cream. Our server, Edward, was nice but hard to call over to our table I think because it was an especially busy night and maybe a bit understaffed. Still, he did his best. My filet mignon was overcooked and I had to send it back which was not a problem.
We'll be back as TOL is our favorite Clydes.
I had the lamb and didn't even need a knife. Best I ever had and I'm Greek so don't tell mom!
My experience at Clyde's at Tower Oaks Lodge was overall a good one, however, the food was not as hot as is should have been. Although the food was well prepared and tasted good it was warm by the time it reached the table.
The guys who tend bar are so great and you can get full service dining at the bar if there is no room in the dining room. The fireplace is nice but you a reservation to sit near it. Overall the place is top notch and the waitstaff will accommodate any request even vegan.
Always enjoy my time at Tower Oaks. I have been there for dinner with friends, business lunches, retirement parties, happy hour and oysters, Easter brunch, and New Year's Eve - I've never been disappointed. Great service, food, and atmosphere.
Always excellent! Had a great time and meal.
Good meeting place for a business lunch or dinner.
Had the fresh fish dish of the month, and it was delicious and very beautifully prepared.
Food was excellent in quality, quantity, and presentation. The service was without doubt the best we have had at any restaurant in the USA. We may have got lucky and got their best waiter - but everyone else was as forthcoming and friendly as can be. Especially impressive was that all the details were just right for food and drink. We have always liked the ambiance at Tower Oaks, and we still do, but until this visit we had developed an impression that food and service were less than when Tower Oaks first opened - and we have been back a good dozen times over the years. This time, they were even better than they were when they first opened. Unusual for a huge restaurant like Tower Oaks, the manager stopped by. He is doing a lot right
