Good overall. A little expensive but it was Valentine's Day. Had lobster and short rib. Both were good. Great service. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Diners' Choice Winners: Best Overall
Washington DC's best restaurants based upon thousands of OpenTable diner reviews
We have enjoyed dining at L'Auberge Chez Francois for many many years--as have our children from the time they were just youngsters. It is the first restaurant we think of when we have a special occasion to celebrate whether it is for birthdays, anniversaries, or other special events of ours or extended family members. While this was our first time dining at the Brasserie--for lunch--we will definitely add the Brasserie to our list and will plan to dine there again. We enjoyed the small intimate setting and the food selection and portion size were just perfect for us. Also our waiter, David, was very attentive and when asked a question about some of the paintings/dishes displayed on the walls sought out Jacques who came downstairs and gave us some of the history of the pieces in the Brasserie--some of which date back to not only the original downtown restaurant but include items either collected by or done by Jacques' relatives. Couldn't have had a nicer afternoon on Valetine's Day or better service and/or food. Thank you Jacque and the staff at L'Augerge Chez Francois! MoreOpenTable Diner -

Discover Washington, D.C.
An international city with the food chops to show for it, Washington D.C. is brimming with new restaurants, coffee houses and spirited bars. And, while tablecloth dining has it’s place here (diplomats gotta eat), so does the casual yet delicious lunch spot (interns gotta eat, too). Near the Capitol, historic eateries and classic menus are favored by many. Excellent Filipino food can be found in Columbia Heights. Near Georgetown, upscale bistros and farm-to-table spots are the order of the day, and Adams Morgan is home to many international restaurants and locally owned cafes.
