Our server was great, very informative and listened well to the individual limitations and tastes of our group, and gave appropriate recommendations. The food was generally well-prepared, served hot. The restaurant, on a mid-week evening, was very noisy; during most of our time we had difficulty hearing one of our group of four speak at a normal conversation level. A generally pleasant experience, but not over the top as many previous diners and the restaurant's reputation in town had promised.
Still one of my favorite places to eat in Seattle. They never disappoint!
Chicken satay was delicious, and the lamb tasted good but was a bit tough. The sea bass was excellent and the seven spice beef was very good. The kitchen was very slow, not the fault of Alec(sp), our waiter.
Lots of confusion with server in splitting bill, so it took about 10 minutes to resolve. This caused us to get to nearby event just in time, without minute to spare.
Food was good, but not as good as some lower priced Pan Asian restaurants. Need more local beer choices.
Either server or kitchen screwed up our order, with app arriving after mains. Pad Thai noodles were congealed, probably because server wasn’t on top of food being ready to take to table. Eaten here many times and this was our first subpar experience.
Great spot. Dress warm !! Front door let’s in quite a cold breeze !! Good choices of food !!
This is such a wonderful place to go before a Benaroya event! They were very conscious of the time and served us promptly. Delicious as always.
Wild Ginger has been a favorite since they were near Pike Place Market. It is across the street from Benaroya Hall and within walking distance from two cinema theaters. On several bus routes and the light rail station- University St. Perfect spot for good food, good service, stress free ways to get to when playing around in our beautiful cosmopolitan city.
We are regular customers and ordered our favorite Laksa soup. It was different this time: more spicy and had really strong tomato flavor, not enough noodles and fish. Just very different so we were disappointed because we came specifically for this soup.
When our waiter learned that we enjoyed hot food, he brought out two little cups with extra spicy goodness. Great food, even better service.
We went to celebrate my birthday
We we’re disappointed in our meal and the service last night, after many previous positive experiences at the restaurant.
Symphony concert tickets = Wild Ginger dinner.
Can't go to Wild Ginger without ordering the duck. The 7 flavor beef is great, the green beans are tasty; everything we've tried has been good.
We usually order the Malbec by the glass, but they changed brands and our server recommended the Tempranillo. Very good substitute.
Order the duck.
Overpriced for mediocre food and service. There are better places in Seattle to eat!
Great food with a different twist
It had been about 9 yrs since dining in downtown Seattle. Hard to find entry to restaurant. We watched many others try to locate the entry while dining. Food good!
delicious interesting food and such professional service
One of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. Always on top of their game.
You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Make reservations.
The Wild Ginger has always been exceptional. I have never been disappointed. The food is extraordinary and the service outstanding. I love eating at the Wild Ginger.
Busy place but efficient. Good food and drink. Excellent when you have limited time
Food was fabulous. Server was very attentive, but unobtrusive.
Food was overpriced and no better than you would get at a fast casual dining place. Very ordinary. Duck was over cooked. Noodles in the seafood dish were mushy. Potstickers were generously sized but blah.
Great for family style Asian dinning. Good downtown location, good food and ambiance. Would recommend for most occasions.
Great food and near the 5th Avenue.
Parking next door for a reasonable price
Great meal. Very savory tastes. Perfection. We love this place.
Restaurant not at the level it once was. Maybe just an off night but the scallops which are one of my favs just not as good as normal. Too bad.
A good go to for large parties and generous portions to share.
I brought my friends from out of town here for an early dinner. We were the first party seated, which was great because we wanted a quiet place where we could catch up with each others' news. We were seated at a booth that was nice and cozy. I started with a hard cider that was excellent; not too sweet. They shared a carafe of chardonnay.
None of us wanted a large meal, so we ended up ordering soup. I had the seafood soup in a coconut turmeric, which came in a large bowl and was delicious! I had enough left over to take home for lunch the next day. My friends ordered a won ton soup that was similar in price, but half the size, and unremarkable.
The server was very friendly and attentive. I felt she was pushing us to order many dishes and many courses, but she wasn't rude.
When we left, the seats were full and the noise level was high. If you want to converse, I recommend coming earlier and getting a booth. The upstairs tables for 2 look fun.
One of my favorite restaurants in downtown Seattle.
Sommelier assisted with the perfect wine pairing for our dinner selection.
Did not get seated until 45 minutes after reservation
Seated at table by window which was very cold
Restaurant was over-booked, perhaps understandable for New Year's Eve, but waiting a half hour or more past your reservation is never a good start. Food and service made up for it though, as they were first rate. Would certainly recommend for those seeking an innovative food experience and not afraid to pay for it...
Food was divine. Staff was very friendly and honest. Beautiful presentation and great service. Good drinks and large wine selection. Very busy for New Year’s Eve so I was glad we had reservations. Made for a great date.
The food quality and portion size just doesn't live up to the hype or the price, not when there are countless Asian restaurants in the area. We thought the shrimp special my wife ordered was an appetizer. It was not. Though the food came out quickly, the server showed zero interest in providing quality service, even going so far as to tell us to "remind her" that we want more drinks with our entrees. Dessert order was taken without even asking if we wanted coffee or any other drinks. Every time she came by to drop something off or pick something up, it was like a flyby. She was busy. I get it. But when a couple is spending $130+ tip, a little courtesy is in order. At one point, we actually had to wonder if this was one of those "no tips needed" restaurants, that's how poor the service was. This was our first time back in a few years. We had really fond memories, but doubt we'll be back.
Slow to be seated, even with reservations it took 15 minutes plus
Went here for dinner on New years eve. Our starters came out surprisingly fast. The other food took a bit longer but the restaurant was pretty busy. Friendly service and good food. I will definitely be back.
New Year’s Eve Had a 6 pm reservation arrived 25 min early, seated right away. Food was wonderful. Everyone loved what they ordered. Service was exceptional Thx. Will be going back
Our party of 5 ate at Wild Ginger on New Year's Eve. We arrived early and were immediately seated. Albert, our waiter, was attentive and informative about menu items. He gave good suggestions for a variety of plates to share and the quantity that should be ordered. Food arrived promptly and was delicious. I recommend the duck buns, scallops, 7 spice beef, prawns, green beans and the coconut gelato. Service got a littler slower as the restaurant filled up. A great evening and would highly recommend both the restaurant and server.
