Diners' Choice Winners: Best Overall
Yorkshire's best restaurants based upon thousands of OpenTable diner reviews
We were made to feel important from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The staff did everything to help with a food intolerance, even adapting the menu where this didn't compromise the dish. Food was very good, as expected. The flavours, textures and presentation were excellent. Overall a wonderful place for a couple to celebrate. MoreOpenTable Diner -
We all enjoyed our meal and night out at Amici. The restaurant was full but the service was very good. Between the four of us we ordered pasta dishes and meat dishes and each thought the food vey good. We will definitely come back again. MoreOpenTable Diner -
I was given a voucher by an estate agent and decided to try the Fat Badger. The ambience was good, only 3 or 4 tables occupied little lacking in atmosphere, not helped by the Christmas hits music in the background. The food was tasty and arrived in good time. New potatoes tasted like they were prepared earlier in the day and had been re heated giving them an unpleasant taste otherwise a pleasant mid week dining experience. MoreOpenTable Diner -

Welcome to The Brasserie. We’re open all week for delicious breakfasts, satisfying lunches and rather indulgent afternoon teas. Or you can just pop in for a coffee and a slice of home made cake – we’ll even let you use our wifi.
The Brasserie offers a relaxed and welcoming ambience (and deeply comfortable chairs). For us it’s all about the food – fresh, local, seasonal and prepared with an eye for playful and inventive new combinations: all from our open kitchen – come and have a look!
Our menu is classic modern British with a twist, and we pride ourselves on sourcing as locally as possible.
We really are passionate about every detail. We cure our own salt beef (from local Dales cows), smoke our own salmon, and bake all our own bread and cakes fresh each morning. We’ll forage for wild garlic, sweet talk local farmers into selling us their best beasts and scour the area for exciting new produce.More
While travelling the world, we fell in love with a little cocktail bar in New York city, it was dark and eccentric and it brought the feeling of living your own Hollywood story. We knew we had to bring the Gothic chic and New York bar culture back with us Drawing on this inspiration, we decided to open our own bar in the heart of West Yorkshire: Villain. With a range of signature and classic cocktails as well good food, what we offer is truly unique.More
With a mixture of old world charm and modern elegance Vine is Middlesbrough's most unique restaurant. After peeling back the layers of this amazing building we have placed a strong dedication to keeping as many of the original features as possible, including Dorman Long beams reminding us of our proud heritage.
With a carefully designed menu created to showcase the freshest and best locally sourced produce available, specialising in seafood our chef's inspiration is modern-British, Mediterranean and Asian Fusion.
Vine is a great place to come when looking for craft beer, an extensive wine list and unique speciality cocktails. Our constantly rotating taps feature local and craft brewers which will always give you a chance to try something new, whilst our wine list is perfectly balanced with the delicate flavours of our dishes. Our speciality cocktail list is sure to provide for unexpected combinations that will satisfy your tastebuds! More
