Zuma Japanese Restaurant - Miami
the menu is comprehensive and alluring. dishes are authentic but not traditional with bold, intense flavors and an emphasis on simple presentation acquired through quality ingredients. izakaya style means that dishes are designed to be shared at the table.
It was my first time and it’ll be my last time there.
Delicious food. Exceptional service. Great ambiance.
Our waiter went above and beyond with getting us information that had nothing to do with the food.
Food amazing, service stellar, ambience lovely! Great brunch spot!
Aniversario de matrimonio
Excellent food!! Wine list was out of this world! Sommelier recommended the best wine ever!!!!
Food wasn’t as good as it usually is :(
Salad was VERY COLD, Meat tasted a little less than usual.
Will go back again anyway hopefully everything is great again as usual
Went for my friend’s birthday. Amazing experience!
Bad birthday experience at brunch. WE WERE their customers and we used to always go but after this experience, we will endeavor to make every negative campaign we can because it was a complete lack of respect with us as people, and as customers that we are. As soon as we arrived we placed a large order for several dishes and shortly after, without having received any of the dishes we ordered, the waiter said that the kitchen would close and that we would need to place the last order. Well, we made another request. Food started to arrive but more than half was missing. We complained and they said they couldn't do anything because the kitchen had closed. Why, but we ASK BEFORE the kitchen closed and never arrived. The manager came to apologize but honestly they should have at least given us a discount on our brunch since we only ate half of what we asked for. And all of this right on my wife's birthday. We are already without much reason to celebrate recently and we still have to go through this in a restaurant that should be renowned but is completely unprepared.
All you can eat and drink brunch was amazing, totally worth it
Our waiter made our experience. He recommended great dishes to try and basically built out a 3 course meal for us. It was outstanding!
Great food an service as always.
The food was great, the service was disappointing.
We ordered soup and it came after dinner, we ordered corn and asparagus came, I called to say we had a birthday and no effort was made for the birthday.
Great service, food quality is good but the size of plates are too small for the price.
Amazing brunch. Food was delicious and service is great! Definitely coming back and well recommended! 👌🏻
Absolutely fantastic restaurant! The best Japanese food in miami ! Authentic and tasty and very well presented. Not to mention the incredibly high end atmosphere and ambience. Hot chill
Music and incredible contemporary style decor and located in the amazing Epic hotel in Miami...one cannot ask for more.....fabulous restaurant, not for the cheap though...worth every dollar... highly recommended...
Food was subpar.
It was a the perfect location for what I wanted to do (a quiet and private proposal outside) and the food and drinks were outstanding.
Very amazing night. The food and the ambience were perfect. Did the premium omakase and loved every bit. Food was fresh and delicious. Seared salmon belly and chutoro were amazing. The pork belly robata was incredible.
Love the place, outstanding food and drink menu. Dim lights, unbelievable music set, lovely atmosphere
Food is underwhelming, service was lacking. For $500+ I recommend the surf club instead.
The best restaurant ever .
Súper. Great attention.
The quality of food was not great
The food and service were excellent just the Decour is a little lacking.
We have always enjoyed going to Zuma but our first dinner experience since Covid it was not a memorable one. We normally pick the premium tasting and requested the Sommelier to pair a few glasses of wine with the meals. The food had its good (mostly the seafood) and bad (meat selection was awful) points along with the wine. We saw our server twice in the 2.5 hr experience. The dessert mountain that usually comes with the tasting was half the size. All in all it was a mad rush to get all the food out and those who would bring us the food would speed read what they brought and leave.
We had a lovely evening celebrating our anniversary. The service was excellent and the food was fabulous. The Decour and ambience of the restaurant was very nice! Just wish our table would’ve been a little bit bigger. But it was cozy and we were accommodated nicely. Very pricey but we knew that coming in.
The location is very nice but the infrastructure was not. I made a phone reservation for a table outdoors for brunch and by Opentable for this restaurant. I had two phone calls from the restaurant several days in advance to confirm my reservation date and outdoors table. They said everything was confirmed but when I got there by the time of the reservation there was no table available so the offered me one inside, besides the entrance to the patio which was always crowded or one by the end of the left side of the patio which was kind of apart from the main restaurant. I said I was not happy with any of the options. They said it was just what they had available. I asked what was the point of the reservation under the circumstances. I asked to speak with the manager and I also tried calling the person who helped me over the phone at the time of the reservation but she was not working that day. Some minutes later they offered me a table outside which looked okay so we took it but unfortunately at that time we didn't notice there was no ventilation in that area, all fans where pointing to the section on the other side of our table so we really had a very uncomfortable time there due to the high temperature and no ventilation. We asked for a fan but they told us there was no electrical connection in our area for a fan so it wasn't possible. By that time we were really frustrated about the whole situation and decided to have a good time anyway and enjoyed the food and drinks. I'm not coming back.
Absolutely fantastic Japanese food. Authentic and very tasty and an incredible variety. Definitely the best Japanese restaurant in miami !! And the gorgeous high end restaurant and ambience are top notch ! Definitely upscale and the phenomenal location is hard to match ! Fabulous restaurant and will definitely be back !! Hopefully the bar opens soon as I love having cocktails at the super chic bar listening to the ever so tendu music !! Top top top !
My son chose this restaurant for his 18th BD dinner on September 18, 2020. When I made the reservation on OpenTable, I requested to be seated outside along with a request to bring a chocolate soufflé with a candle to celebrate his birthday. This was a table for 2. When we arrived, we were put inside at a table behind the bar, with no regard for the outside table request, even though I told the man in charge. We were basically shoved to the worst table in the restaurant so that the old men accompanying the women with their assets out for everyone to see could be given preference. Service was appalling, the wrong food was brought to our table 3 times. A glass of wine took 30 minutes to arrive. When it came time to bring the dessert, my request was again ignored, not even an acknowledgement of my son's BD. It's shameful. Out of courtesy to my son, I did not complain to the manager because I did not want to make a scene and ruin my son's day any further. He was already pretty upset and frankly uncomfortable to be sitting inside in a room full of people who had no regard for the City's mandate to wear masks when walking around the restaurant. As an executive who entertains clients, I've been not only to Zuma in Miami on countless occasions, but also to Zuma all over the world, from New York, to London, to Rome. My husband is also a frequent diner in your restaurant. I don't know if you changed management, or if Covid has affected not only your cooking, as the food was tasteless, but also your overall customer service. It seems that for your brand this is no longer a priority. Needless to say, I will never return and will make sure to spread the word about your obvious deterioration. I'm embarrassed for you.
Great management A+++
I had a good experience, but I ordered a glass of wine that was $12 in the menu, and they said they don’t have it. But I asked if they have the same region, but different brand and they brought me a glass of wine that coast $40 without taxes and nobody told me that one glass is $40.
I love the food and service. Very high level and very unusual for States.
The service from one specific waiter was terrible
It was my birthday lunch, I requested outside and it was obvious they were closing that area down and in fact the whole place ! I was told it’s too hot outside .... We had a 2pm reservation and the kitchen stopped at 3 . No soy sauce ?! No iced coffee !! Checked dropped without offering dessert .. no mention of happy birthday like many times before .. the place was dead and our waitress wanted to leave , the only thing that saved the day was the amazing wine and Sommelier chick , Seresin Sauvignon blanc was fantastic from New Zealand... for $400 it was awful and felt like a rip off, as usual 45 min wait for valet and multiple returns to get the validations to work... not rushing back there anytime soon
Perfect atmosphere with excellent service
We asked for a table in the terrace, they said no because only half was open, 15 mins later they opened that side, and started to use it
Our server forgot 2 plates, the order was not the ideal one
