- CCherylToronto / Ontario •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoOur overall experience was amazing! The decor was perfect and the service, from the valet to our server were extremely helpful, kind and pleasant. Our server David was very attentive. I did require a gluten-free meal, which was readily accommodated, but I did find the GF scone quite dry and crumbly. Otherwise the food was excellent and the salted caramel apple was absolutely devine! What a wonderful experience for friends to share!More infoThe Tea Room - Windsor Arms Hotel$$$$• Afternoon Tea• Yorkville•4.4

- HHelenNew York City •2 reviews5.0Dined on Apr 25, 2026I’m still floating from afternoon tea at the Omni King Edward Hotel Victoria Cafe. Exquisite is the only word. Chef Elaine Wong is truly out of sight — a true professional in every sense. We began with our tea selection, and I chose the King Edward Blend — a beautiful jasmine and rose mix. The aroma alone set the tone, soft florals drifting through the air as the first tier of tea sandwiches arrived. The egg salad with fresh dill was delicate and fresh, the chicken salad tasted like a spring chicken pot pie, the roast beef bite was perfectly balanced, and the smoked salmon quiche paired beautifully with a glass of champagne. And then dessert… which completely surprised me. I usually lean savory, but this was something else. The scones were like fluffy clouds with clotted cream, jam, and lemon curd. The pastries were not only stunning but actually delivered — the strawberry tart lightly kissed with sweetness, and a passionfruit pavlova that completely changed my mind about pavlova. But the standout — the moment — was the maple matcha mango pot de crème. Chef absolutely hit it out of the park with this one. It was silky and delicate, layered with matcha and a gentle touch of maple, but what made it unforgettable were the tapioca pearls hidden inside — like little bursts of dessert caviar. The texture alone was an experience — creamy, smooth, and then those soft pops that made every bite feel playful and elevated. What made it even more special — Chef Wong came to our table and spoke so passionately about the tea service she created. You could feel how intentional every detail was. And when she shared that the matcha pot de crème was her personal favorite, it made perfect sense. It’s the kind of dish that stays with you. In a world where everything feels overpriced and the food often doesn’t match the moment, this felt rare. Thoughtful, balanced, elegant, and truly memorable. I don’t know if I’ll ever beat this tea experience.More infoVictoria Cafe - Afternoon Tea$$$$• Afternoon Tea• Financial District•4.7
