Absolutely phenomenal — every bite had depth, uniqueness and character. Ambiance and decor stunning. Service warm and irreverent; not stuffy or stiff. Can’t wait to go back.

Donavans is a go to Restaurant for me, the food is always exceptional and the atmosphere is comforting. Service is also good with the wait staff having a good knowledge of the menu as well as being attentive. Their specials, entree and main are to die for. If your looking to impress a partner or just a friend or maybe a visitor to Melbourne ...go to Donavans

Amazing experience and spectacular food. Could not fault a single dish, everything was gorgeous, well balanced and each ingredient was given so much respect and care. The staff were welcoming, attentive and extremely knowledgeable about the food and drinks they were serving. Not your average fine dining experience, the place had an air of warmth and welcome. Extremely humble and unpretentious, truly showcasing the food and the talented chefs techniques utilized to design and execute each dish. We love that it’s not just the ingredient but where it’s from that is showcased across each dish.

Staff were so lovely and helpful. The food was great too, we ordered à la carte and thought the steak was cooked perfectly. The cocktail menu was very fun and also tasty!

Food and service was out of this world. The pumpkin gnocchi, in a French/ Japanese restaurant, was the best I have ever eaten. The Bansho oysters were fantastic. Together with the scallops. Drink prices reasonable, but not a cheap night out.

First impressions, perfect and personal. Welcomed and shown to my chair. Wait staff was cheerful, informative, efficient and all orders came in a timely manner and delicious. New best establishment when I visit Melbourne. Small win but big gain for me. Well done!
