A fantastic place in Munich. The service was great. They were extremely friendly and recommended options for my wife and I. The schnitzel with the lingonberry compote was phenomenal. Of course, the beer and wine was great as well. Seemed like a nice mix of locals and tourists and the staff was more than happy to serve everyone. Would highly recommend!

We were in the mood for local cuisine. The ladies started with the pumpkin cream soup with strips of ginger (7.9 euros) which was one of the best I’ve had, as good as my own homemade one. My appetite wasn’t big and while I wanted duck, my husband wanted the pork knuckle. They had a “roasting pan” dinner(27.50 euros) which included both plus a piece of roast pork, potato dumpling and red cabbage with apple bits. Our waiter allowed us to split the dish and the portion was perfect as was the flavour. We each had a beer, of course. The price of our evening was very reasonable. Highly recommend this restaurant!

A really nice place to go for an authentic Bavarian experience in Munich. A great setting, vibrant and energetic atmosphere, lots of noise and a very casual dining experience. The food was really good, with large hearty portions and tasted really good. We went early and it was empty and quiet, and within no time the place was full. I particularly enjoyed the birthday celebrations and singing and bell ringing.

This is such a wonderful restaurant. The Bavarian food was delicious - we had the roasted goat cheese as a starter, followed by the vegetarian kasspaetzlen and the veal grilled liver (for the absolutely not vegetarian). The beer was wonderful. And the service was most excellent, very friendly, helpful and efficient. If you need to get away from the touristy beer halls, this is a must stop.

The food and service were very good but what made the experience better was the service we received from Niklaus, manager at Le Meridien. The restaurants ability to accept a credit card was not working. We did not want to use the ATM as this was our last night in Munich. Niklaus stepped up and agreed to allow us to pay by card at the reception desk at the hotel. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable meal at Irmi. Also it was memorable when our server Ana successfully performed the Heimlich maneuver on another patron sitting right behind us. Way to go Ana!!
