Best Beer Gardens in Belsize Park

Very friendly, no, VERY friendly. Not just the staff but had a chat at the bar with a regular too. The pub was warm but not too hot, just right. Very clean, my local, which thinks it's a gastro pub, should check out The Golden Lion's toilets and take notes. A reasonable wait after ordering for us to enjoy our first drink, a lovely craft beer and a very well made Bloody Mary. I then sampled a different craft beer while my girlfriend moved to her wine of choice to accompany the meal. When the food did arrive it was a good size plate portion. Enough food to fill but not leave you stuffed. The brisket was slow cooked and delicious with horseradish sauce, perfect red cabbage and carrots, and roasties with a top notch gravy. Only slight niggle was the Yorkshire puddings which were frozen, not kitchen made. Very reasonably priced. We will return to this iconic, impressively designed pub.

We really enjoyed every minute of it The pub is really nice and cosy, staff very friendly and polite The food was absolutely delicious, like last time we went, so we ll definitely go back !! I had the lamb as a main and the cous cous which was succulent and tasty As a starter I had the tiger prawns plus scallops and that was delicious too and so well presented! Cocktails were very well done too So happy with the all experience !

Very friendly staff and efficient. Drinks reasonably priced for that part of London. In the middle of all the hustle and bustle but yet quite a peaceful little quiet spot on the first floor by the Eurostar trains, away from it all down below. Highly recommend.
