Cheng Mapo Tofu is a tofu dish created in the mid-19th century by “Auntie Cheng” (Cheng Mapo) in Chengdu, Szechuan Province, China. All the carefully selected ingredients are specially imported from China, the all-important “Doubanjiang” (broad bean chilli paste), capsicums and Chinese pepper. The Szechuanese chef creates a totally authentic flavour. In addition to spicy Szechuan staples, such as the Mapo Tofu, Szechuan prawns in chilli sauce, and Dandanmian spicy noodles, a wide range of Szechuan dishes reflecting the incredible diversity of cooking methods and flavourings are on offer reflecting “a hundred ways to cook a hundred ingredients”, that the province is known for.

Takekuma serves Chinese cuisine in a casual and relaxing atmosphere. The d_cor is composed of natural wood on a white wall design with plenty of light. Come with a friend or with a colleague to try the popular Shikimizu noodles that are created with red vinegar along with stir-fried chicken, tofu, shiitake mushrooms, bamboo shoots and roasted ham. Takekuma also serves a classic bamboo noodle with sesame flavor. There are many beverages at Takekuma which include Shaoxing wine, plum wine, fruit wine and sours. Kageyamarou Ebisu is a Chinese restaurant using locally caught and sourced ingredients. The specialty of the house is shark fin, which is served in a variety of different ways.
