Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Penicuik

We’ve visited the two London restaurants and this was the first time here. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Food exceptionally good. It was our Anniversary and it was acknowledged. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate

Easily found a table through the app. Friendly staff and quick service throughout. The menu offers a wide selection of options at very reasonable prices, with generous portions to match. I went for the "Hot Cock" burger, and the chicken was excellent, juicy, flavourful, and perfectly cooked. While I didn't find the Nashville hot sauce particularly spicy, it had plenty of flavour. The bun was fresh and held together well, and the salt and chilli chips were outstanding, easily one of the best restaurant versions of the takeaway classic I've had. Everyone at the table thoroughly enjoyed their meals, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. I'll definitely be returning next time I'm in Edinburgh.

Always a delight to dine at the Fountain. Really good service and excellent food. The manager went the extra mile to accommodate us and surprised us with an excellent dish to one in our party with dietary needs. Will definitely be back

Food was outstanding, beautiful steak/frites. Nearby table drinking heavily and quite noisy. Would still recommend and we will return
