The gumbo and fried fish were absolutely delicious. I did not enjoy the fried chicken sandwich because I expected that like most sandwich chicken, I would get breast meat instead of thigh meat. The collards were tasty but a bit salty. I enjoyed the sweet potatoes. The cocktails were good.

Our server was very gracious and new. Our service was pretty prompt. The music was kind of loud for dinner conversation. The overall experience was great. We really enjoy the restaurant and the food. Appetizers and drinks are a bit pricey.

Hostess was very welcoming which started the experience on a good foot! Everone loved their meals. Filet, burgers, chicken - all cooked as requested. Will definitely return when i visit from Florida during the Holidays!

This is the place DC dinner have been waiting for—really good food with a welcome atmosphere in a great location. I would have rated it higher, but service was slow because of understaffing. That said, our server was super nice. I will go back for sure!
