Best Contemporary American Restaurants in False Creek

Had the nicest and most courteous staff attend to us with a dazzling smiles plus food portion, presentation and quality were exceptional. This coupled with the aesthetics - black striped umbrellas on the beach, string lights elegantly placed etc made our little celebration and experience memorable.

I went to JOEY Bentall One yesterday and had such a great experience. I ordered the 6 oz CAB® filet mignon and the Ravioli Bianco, and It was absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly and felt like a treat, without being overcomplicated. What really stood out, though, was the vibe of the place. It has that perfect balance between professional and relaxed, which is why I love coming here for business lunches. Our waitress, Lily, was lovely. She took the time to explain the menu, gave great suggestions, and checked in just the right amount to make sure everything was perfect without being intrusive. I’ll definitely keep coming back. This spot never disappoints.

While visiting Vancouver, we had brunch at Maxine’s Cafe & Bar. The food was delicious, but the service and personal attention truly stood out. Our server, Jana, was incredibly attentive and personable—we even had the chance to chat and get to know her. By the end of our visit, we asked for a selfie to remember her by! The manager, Hugh, also stopped by to chat and made us feel especially welcome. To top it all off, Jana surprised us with a small specialty hot chocolate at the end of our meal—a thoughtful and memorable touch. All in all, it was a 10 out of 10 experience.
