Best Contemporary American Restaurants in Stanardsville

What a great meal! We were expertly guided through the very interesting and complete menu by Allie, our server. Superbly prepared aged beef and great sides. Highly recommend!

We hadn’t been to Hamiltons in years, but when good friends from California visited we took the opportunity. Everything, especially the food, was as good as we remembered. The shrimp and grits were especially noted.

Excellent food and service as always. Sat on the balcony upstairs which was a nice change.

It's been a long time snce my last visit to Public Fish & Oyster but they have the same excellent service and food as always. The service was top notch, and the quality of the food was very good. I must commend the management on the outstanding selection and volume of the music. So many restaurants get that one detail wrong and the noise level will destroy an otherwise enjoyable experience. I want to be able to carry on a conversation with my companions and a little background music of classic rock, Jazz or Blues is great as long as it isn't too loud. Public Fish & Oyster got it right! The staff was clearly on their game, everything flowed like it should and the meal was perfect!
