The staff were super knowledgeable and extremely nice. We even got to see the basement where they were making their ingredients. But on a deeper level, it’s so much more than that: Every visit, I’m struck again by the quality of the ingredients, the care in the preparation, and the love in every detail. Some flavours pulled me straight back into childhood like the rhubarb from my grandmother’s garden. Others were entirely new to me, ingredients and combonations I’d never tasted before. Memories and discoveries you don’t expect to find on a plate. What made it even more special was the team – warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate. The bar had more people than the restaurant- so we had a nice quiet meal basically with the kitchen and server to ourselves. What was amazing about this small but creative menu, there are new takes on old traditional dishes. Loved everyone of them that our party of 4 tried (we are sharing, social eaters). The wine list was extensive and covered a lot of areas and grapes that you would expect. The desserts were also flavorful, creative, and potentially too large!
