Best Contemporary Indian Restaurants in Concord, San Francisco Bay Area

The food and ambience at Pippal were excellent. We really enjoyed the creative, innovative dishes—everything we tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented. Our hostess, Lina, was wonderful and made the experience even more pleasant with her warm and attentive service. The only drawback was the portion size. Given the price point, the servings felt quite small and not ideal for sharing. Overall, a great experience, but I do wish the portions were more generous.

Went for lunch. The ambience and the food was great. The menu choices are excellent covering many regional dishes across India. Our favorite was the Mangalorean Beef Sukka followed by the Parsi Chicken mince. We loved the Gulab Jamun Crème Brûlée. It will be a regular haunt going forward.

Always a pleasure! Excewllent friendly service. Tandoori Shrimp Perfect. So was the Naan. Go there about once a month. The servers now know us by name.

We had an amazing time at this restaurant. The food and service were outstanding. The lamb seek kebabs were a huge hit, and the fish filet was incredibly moist, although a bit pricey. The mutton shank was a must-try; it was cooked to perfection and fell off the bone. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and highly recommend this place.
