Best Contemporary Italian Restaurants in Banker's Hill

Had an incredible dining experience at Filo recently, and it completely exceeded expectations from start to finish. The ambience and decor were warm, stylish, and inviting, creating the perfect backdrop for a great night out. Shout out to our server Cesar, who was equally top-notch, along with an attentive and professional staff that made us feel well cared for the entire evening. The food was simply phenomenal. We started with cocktails (Sazerac & Carciofo Rosso), and incredible small bites like the anchovy toast, a vibrant Hamachi Crudo, and the caramelized stuffed Piquillo, followed by standout mains including the Arroz Meloso (the octopus on top was my favorite) and melt-in-your-mouth Glazed Short Ribs over polenta. Every single dish was packed with flavor and expertly prepared. We did experience a slight hiccup at the end of the night: our dessert (the baklava) took quite a while to come out. Without us even having to prompt or complain, Cesar, our server, proactively apologized for the delay and comped it entirely. Turns out, it ended up being our least favorite item of the night anyway, so having it taken off the bill on the house was an unexpected and deeply appreciated touch of class. What an amazing place. Kyle made the night super fun and special. A very nice patio and a very nice dining room, all well-decorated and cozy. Everything was delicious. The potato chips for free is a nice touch. The oxtail meatballs were so good. My salmon was perfect and my friend greatly enjoyed the lobster ravioli. Good sized portions of everything. Very reasonably priced and it was super quiet and easy to chat. Will be back!
