Best Contemporary Italian Restaurants in Clintonville

We had a delicious meal at Speck on 11/2/26. Mia, our server, provided excellent and knowledgeable service - she was particularly helpful is sorting through the menu and wine choices. We concentrated on appetizers, getting 4, and enjoyed them all a great deal. We also had 2 pastas, Funghi and Nerano, both outstanding. finished with Chocolate Budding, which we also enjoyed a great deal. Overall, an extremely pleasant evening.

The food is absolutely phenomenal!! Some of the best I’ve had anywhere in a long time. The atmosphere and service are fantastic too. We had a little accident at the table and the staff was all right there immediately to clean it up. Wish we lived closer because we’d be here all the time!!!

Welcome was warm and we learned it was the restaurant's 30th anniversary. Special of veal scallopini was very good. Another member of the party enjoyed the clams...small and fresh. The last member had lamb with some very good noodles.

We went for our anniversary dinner. I booked reservations about a month in advance (just because I'm a planner). The restaurant was clean and well maintained. The food was phenomenal. The provided bread and dipping oil was incredibly delicious and I could've gladly eaten multiple baskets. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs and chicken parmigiana. The sauce was hands down the star of both of our dishes. I was pleasantly pleased with the hand breading on my chicken. I notated in my reservation that it was our anniversary and they provided a free dessert wafer with chocolate mousse. The staff were courteous and attentive while still allowing us time to enjoy our meal and conversation without constant interruptions. Taylor was our waiter and he was awesome.
