Best Contemporary Italian Restaurants in Laveen

We came out for dinner before the comedy show next door. We ordered 3 different pasta dishes and cocktails. Everyone loved the food. The waiter was on top of our needs and we had a great time!

Where to begin... The lovely greeting at the front door. From there, it is all about the food and drink! We sat at the bar with Darien, who took great care of us from the moment we sat down. While he can make whatever you want, do check out their drink list as there is always some new and interesting there. The food. The food. The food. To kick the eating portion of the evening off, we had a branzino crudo and warm n'juda and stracciatella with bread. Both were delicious! From there, we moved to the rigatoni and the scallops. The rigatoni was creamy and had just the right amount of sausage. The scallops were a revelation! Bathed in a light sauce and served with a banana bread (no, not the kind we make at home) and braised and dried leeks. The scallops were absolutely perfectly cooked and the bites with the bread were an amazing surprise. Every meal we have ever had at Virtu has been a truly great experience and this was yet another. Go, make an evening of it. And, ask about the Amaros! Virtu has a big selection and they are fun to explore.

Everything about Luna was terrific. My wife and I are not big eaters. We shared the lemon Caesar salad and signature shrimp spaghetti dishes. Every plate was split for us. I also ordered the caci de pepi raviolo side to taste. Everything was exceptional and excellent. We have never seen shrimp so large and flavorful. So glad we went to this restaurant!!
