We were a party of 7, including two children and a teenager, we dined at lunch time in half term. Considering that Bill's was quite full, the staff did a very good job of looking after us. I had reserved a table in advance. We were led to this on arrival. The food was good and much enjoyed. A special shout put should go to large the gluten free menu, as one of our party has a gluten intolerance. Bill's in Cambridge is a good meeting place and good value. We will be going again.

Another excellent Sunday roast lunch at the red lion. We were seated quickly on arrival and didn’t have to wait long at all for our food. We both thoroughly enjoyed our roast dinners. Friendly service from the staff and overall a lovely atmosphere.

Another wonderful meal here and good value with the 3 course Sunday menu. My only negative would be that it was very quiet and the service was a bit slow which didn't make sense. Lovely food and a really good venue that we'll be using more.

I’ve already recommended The Oak Bistro to several people. Excellent food, very accommodating when we showed up on a busy Thursday lunchtime 45 minutes early for our reservation, having caught an earlier train. Food was exceptional. And, with the option of a Prix fixe menu, there was a decent range of prices.

We had a light lunch, which was lovely. Sandwich, side and a soft drink which was great value for money! Staff were nice and friendly too. Will definitely be making a return trip.

We had a lovely roast dinner at the Gonville Hotel. The beef was incredibly tender and came with a generous Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and vegetables. We started with garlic prawns and finished with a sensational pear, honey and almond tart with pistachio ice cream. The set lunch was good value for money and the complimentary glass of wine was a welcome bonus. A very enjoyable meal and somewhere we’d happily return to.

Outstanding ambience, and service, and quality of food, and the setting of the table (the napkins were gorgeous!). I felt very looked after, and and the whole experience was truly memorable, in a good way. The staff were especially considerate and helpful. As a result, I've already booked myself to have lunch there, on my own!

    Lovely Restaurant and Lounge Bar dining area, with working fireplace and rustic beams creating a good ambience, very popular too, so booking is recommended. A good menu covering all tastes plus seasonal "Specials" board. I had the "Fish n Chips", Battered Cod, Chunky Chips, Peas and Tartar Sauce, freshly cooked, piping hot, and absolutely Yummy! My wife had the Lasagne, very substantial, tasty, and "Homemade", all boxes ticked, followed by something from the Desserts menu, Sticky Toffee Pudding with Ice Cream being a favourite, all served very attentively by the friendly team, many thanks!!

    Booked a table for 4 for lunch and we had 5 dogs between us. The staff were very accommodating getting us our table. We all had a delicious all day breakfast and one of them was gluten free, readily catered for. Definitely worth a visit, booking recommended
