Tern is an independent, relaxed fine dining restaurant and cocktail bar in Worthing. A celebration of British produce and the people who grow, fish, and forage it. We cook with a zero-import philosophy, sourcing everything from within the British Isles and working in step with the seasons. Our menus are known for precision, creativity, and flavour that feels both familiar and exciting. Our drinks list follows the same ethos: all-British wines, spirits, and cocktails that showcase the country’s most inspiring producers. Our restaurant, in the heart of historical Worthing, brings the full Tern experience to life across two distinct spaces: an open kitchen and dining room upstairs, and a darker, moodier cocktail bar below. Warm, welcoming and ingredient-led, Tern is dining made with intention, served with care, and rooted in a genuine sense of place.Come for the food. Stay for the atmosphere. Leave with a memory.

I read some not so good reviews but decided to give Drift bar a go. There were four of us and I’d booked a table. The server was absolutely amazing, so friendly, not in an over the top way, but genuinely wanting to make our experience a special one. And it was! Great good, good vibes and excellent service. I honestly don’t have anything negative to say about our visit. We had the fish and chips and the roast chicken Sunday dinner. Super quality and great tasting.

Ordered the tray and it was beyond phenomenal. Restaurants atmosphere was low lighting and perfect for a cozy afternoon. Food and drinks were served in great size for money portions. Staff was attentive and friendly, chatty but didn’t hover over which was great. Would happily come again and highly recommend for all ages and party sizes! Had something for everyone.

Very unassuming at first glance. The quality of the food and the friendly service made us permanent converts. We arrived for Friday fish fry day. The fish and chips were fantastic. Best fish fillet I have had. The mashed peas were sweet and fresh. Finally, I ordered an Affogato for dessert. It was perfection. Overall, I would come here again and again.
