    We had a very wonderful experience on our first visit to Troutbeck for my partner’s birthday. I had spoken with David when I made the reservation online and he was very helpful and responsive. He was able to change our reservation to an earlier time that was not available when I booked online. In addition, when I mentioned it was a special birthday, he informed the staff so that when we arrived, there were many very thoughtful details in place: the personalized menus, champagne and dessert. David was especially wonderful when confirming my requests and so timely with his replies, (so unusual these days!) Everyone was so kind in recognizing the occasion, makes one feel very special in a world where restaurants have become very commonplace and disappointing. Our server, Amy was very kind, knowledgeable and a joy to interact with! And, not unexpectedly, the food was excellent, we especially loved the creative take on cooking within the Spring season. Thank you again for a very memorable evening - we will most definitely be back!

    Wonderful food, with a wonderful server. They accommodated my desire for seafood over chicken( I’m a pescatarian) without hesitation. My one daughter is a vegan/vegetarian and is always happy to peruse the menu because she has options, unlike at some other restaurants.

    Our first visit in and truth be told, it was the very best Hudson Valley dining experience from start to finish. Wildly delicious food in a gorgeous space. Cannot wait to return to both Matilda and the adjoining Henson Inn.
