Quiessence is a fine dining, true farm to table restaurant located at The Farm at South Mountain, a 10 acre oasis by South Mountain. We have a 2 acre organic garden onsite that we utilize as much as possible for our dishes. Our menu changes regularly based on local and seasonal availability. We offer tasting menus with the option of doing 3, 4 or 5 courses. The restaurant itself is housed in the original farmhouse of the property giving the restaurant plenty of rustic charm. Patio dining is also highly sought after when the weather is nice.

    The chef is just phenomenal. I appreciate when you can taste the genuine passion someone has for their craft. Farm to table is something I deeply appreciate, and experiencing the dishes so lovingly and intentionally created fills me with delight. Every plate arrives as something considered, almost reverent. There is no kitchen more immaculate than theirs either. The waitstaff and manager are always so pleasant, and the overall ambience invokes the quiet charm of a secluded villa. This is one of those places you must experience, even if its just once (though I am thoroughly compelled to keep returning). They also seemlessly accommodate floral deliveries which shows wonderful attention to detail.

    I got engaged here 9 years ago and went back last evening to celebrate at the same table. We’ve been here maybe 30-40 times and it’s always wonderful. Great for special occasions, or just a relaxed dinner with great atmosphere and views.

    The service was excellent, and the food was fabulous! I had the shrimp and grits and it was some of the best I’ve ever had! Would definitely recommend and would go there again.
