We both had the fixed price menu which is incredible value for such wonderful food. Fish rillettes with tasty garnishes and crusty rolls they make themselves, tender steak with flavourful gravy and perfectly cooked coley for our mains, a side of hot and tasty cauliflower cheese, and a fruit compote that distilled the flavours of autumn with a hint of mulled wine. It takes a lot of time and skill to produce a meal of such a high standard and I don’t know anywhere else that could make such great food at such an affordable price. The calm atmosphere and attractive surroundings add to a lovely experience and the service is always so professional. Thank you, Bouchon, and we’ll be back soon!More infoBouchon Bistrot - Hexham££££• French• Newcastle upon Tyne•4.8

- JJamieNewcastle and Northumberland •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoParty of 2, we booked very late and were a few minutes late owing to a typically tardy train. On arrival, service was prompt and we were shown to our table in what was a busy (though by no means very loud) restaurant. I had the steak baguette with frites and my sister went for a pasta dish that was surprisngly plentiful given it was from the light mains menu which was apparently excellent. I asked my steak to be done to medium well done and I may as well have asked for perfection because that was what was delivered. I've been a few times now and never had a bad experience, even during peak demand. The setting is great, the food is invariably great, the staff are lovely, and you are not deafened by music. Is it my favourite restaurant in Newcastle? Yes it is.More infoCôte Brasserie - Newcastle££££• French• Newcastle upon Tyne•4.5
