Best Italian Restaurants in Hallowell

First time at Isa Bistro- loved everything about it. Excellent service from start to finish. Food was delicious. All six in attendance agreed. Can’t wait to return!

I specifically went to Pomelia’s last night to try their limited special “lamb ossobucco“ . It was delicious, as were all the other special dishes I have tried in the past. Big enough to share. I hope this one makes the menu like the Seafood Granatini did or at least a frequent special for the colder months. Pomelia’s is an outstanding restaurant with a great wait staff. A winning combination, and for me, well worth a 45 minute drive to dine there.

We had such a wonderful experience at Solo Italiano! Bruce greeted and seated us with such genuine warmth and kindness, setting the tone for a fantastic evening. Our server and food runner were equally impressive—attentive, thoughtful, and incredibly detail-oriented. The level of hospitality and care throughout our experience truly stood out. Exceptional service all around!

Bella our waiter was terrific and all four of our meals were excellent… We had two of the specials - pork chop and braised fish and my wife and I had veal. Very happy we made a reservation with open table as the seating was beautiful with large sunny windows overlooking the wooded stream. Great night with family. Thank you.
