Best Italian Restaurants in Northeast Portland

We had a wonderful dinner at Serratto! The food was absolutely delicious, with exceptional quality and beautifully prepared dishes. The staff was amazing—attentive, welcoming, and genuinely committed to providing excellent service without being intrusive. The restaurant was also spotless and well maintained, which added to the overall experience. Everything was top-notch, from the food to the service and atmosphere. We look forward to coming back. This is one of our favorite restaurants. The food was all excellent this time even the dessert which I seldom eat. I love the fact that they employ a large number of runners to expedite the food delivery. One doesn't have to wait for anything.

Our meal at Tartuca was exceptional from start to finish. We began with the farinata—featuring a tofu-like "pancake" made with yardlong beans - paired with turnips, cherry tomatoes, and micro greens. It was unique and tasty. We ordered the tomato risotto with fried capers, which did not disappoint. We also enjoyed the gnudi, a perfect fall dish featuring savory roasted chicken, fennel, and delicata squash. The sauce was incredible, and we were glad we ordered the focaccia, which is a star on its own. To round out the night, our waiter suggested his favorite Amaro, Averna, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Between the cozy atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious food—including great GF and vegetarian options—we highly recommend this spot.
