Best Mediterranean Restaurants in Iztapalapa

The truffle tagliolini was superb, as was the gnocchi sardi with meat ragu, perfectly al dente. the scallop carpaccio antipasti was sublime with subtle heat and the sauce was worth using the spoon to finish off. Asparagus with gorgonzola cream sauce and hazelnut topping was also unique and delicious. Do take advantage of the Coravin high end wine by the glass options, we tried the orange wine (pinot grigio) available and the Amarone, which was divine. Some of the better Italian I've had including many of the major cities in the US I've visited.

Beautiful location with an ambiance that is truly unmatched. We started with the beef tartare and the chorizo-stuffed dates, which were easily our favorite dishes of the night—both were packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. For our entrées, we ordered the short rib sandwich and the grilled octopus. The short rib sandwich was a bit bland for our taste and could have used more seasoning or flavor. The grilled octopus was well-cooked and enjoyable, but the potatoes that accompanied the dish were actually my favorite part. The service was excellent from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and accommodating, which made the experience even more enjoyable. This is a perfect date-night spot. They truly know how to create an intimate, romantic atmosphere, and we’d happily return for the ambiance, service, and appetizers alone.
