Best Mediterranean Restaurants in Short Hills

I had the broiled Chilean Sea Bass and it was outstanding!! The food and service are awesome above and beyond at Limani!!

This was our first visit to Mezza. It was a positive experience with good food, a calm ambience, and good service. We ordered the skirt steak and salmon. Both dishes were well-prepared, with sizeable portions and an attractive presentation. The location was unassuming--at the corner of a busy shopping center--but the interior feel was pleasant, with vibrant decorations and art, subtle background music, and plenty of room to breathe without feeling cramped (it was not crowded during our visit). The prices seemed on the high end (e.g., $38 for a small grilled salmon filet on a simple bed of pearl couscous), but with prices escalating for almost everything, it was not surprising. All in all, for delicious Mediterranean fare in a nice environment, Mezza delivered.

Excellent fine cuisine BYO gem in South Orange. Duck, lamb, lobster crepe, fruit de mer all delicious. Will return for sure.

We chose this place because it had been recommended to us, and I wanted somewhere special to have dinner with my partner. What a surprise I got—a wide variety of appetizers, burgers, and main courses. The food and service were excellent. Rubén, our server, was very attentive, not to mention that the place has just been renovated, so it has a modern, elegant atmosphere—perfect for our date. We’ll definitely be back.
