Sazón serves up a variety of appetizers, ceviches, soups and salads, vegetarian plates, sandwiches and classic meals. Our family is originally from Lima, where authentic Peruvian recipes were passed down by our great-grandmother, Maria Olinda, who herself came from Peruvian, African, Spanish and Italian ancestry. Peruvian cuisine fuses different periods from the South American country's history, from the ancient Inca empire through the Spanish conquest, which brought in slaves from Africa and China; further influences came from Italian and Japanese immigrants, blending indigenous foods of Peru and cooking methods of four continents into a unique tasteThank you for visiting our page, we look forward to seeing you soon!Jose & Manny Navarro

La Perla takes classic Peruvian recipes and cooking techniques and brings it to the modern table with flair and finesse. The plates are delicious, every bit as good as one might expect in a fine dining or high-end American steak house. The food at La Perla will be simultaneously familiar and new to many patrons. Under the appetizer section, it has beef empanadas with raisins aji panca and batija olives. There is a dedicated ceviche menu with several different varieties. The can't-miss dinner option is the arroz con Mariscos, which is a Peruvian-style paella with calamari, bay scallops, shrimp, clams, mussels and salsa.

El Mono is a restaurant serving up fresh and authentic Peruvian cuisine. This is a family owned and operated establishment, and many of the recipes on the menu are taken straight from grandma's cookbook. El Mono is all about showcasing not only the flavors of Peru, but also how its meals can be light and healthy. El Mono is Spanish for The Monkey and is named for the Peruvian Nazca Lines which were drawn in the desert and so large that to see the whole thing visitors must get an ariel view. All of El Mono's food is free of MSG, food coloring and preservatives. There are several appetizers available, but the ceviche is one of the signature dishes of the house. El Mono has a few different recipes for this traditional national dish two of which include fresh fish or mixed seafood.

El Perol Restaurant is a family-owned eatery in San Rafael that serves generous portions of homemade Peruvian dishes made from scratch with the freshest ingredients and authentic herbs and spices. We were located in SF’s Mission District for two decades. A fire closed our Mission business but we're delighted to be back serving the San Rafael community along with old customers who drive here from the city. Gustavo will greet you when you arrive and your dinner will be lovingly prepared by his sister chef Nancy, who has 20 years of experience and delights meat eaters, fish lovers and vegetarians alike. Some of Nancy’s most requested dishes are Lomo Saltado, Seco de Cordero, Jalea, Pescado a lo Macho, Cau Cau, and Aji de Gallina. Try Peruvian beer with your meal, and end your meal with mouthwatering Peruvian desserts such as Alfajores, Helado de Lucuma, Crema Volteada and more. Visit us to experience authentic Peruvian dishes cooked the way our grandparents meant them to be.

The empanadas were very tasty and so was the sangria. Prices were very reasonable too. There was not a huge menu but what they did have was delicious. The presentation was also very appealing. We were not rushed, which was nice, and things were made when just as we ordered them and were not sitting under heat lamps. Overall a great experience and looking forward to going again. I would not recommend for smaller children unless they are adventurous eaters. Great as a date night spot though!
