Shabu Tatsu, located in the East Village of New York City, is a unique Japanese restaurant where the majority of the customers cook their own food. Using a Japanese hotpot, the ordered meats and vegetables are cooked in a special broth and dipped in one of several available dipping sauces. A shabu-shabu dinner course includes hakusai, scallion, carrot, shiitake mushroom, watercress, tofu, kishimen, malony noodles, salad, dipping sauces, rice and ice cream. Guests can choose from prime rib-eye beef, shrimp, pork or chicken. Shabu Tatsu also offers Sukiyaki, which is a dinner of thinly-sliced beef, tofu and vegetables. Another option is the Yakiniku dinner, which consists of a Japanese style BBQ with assorted meats, vegetables, kimchee, namulu, soup, salad, rice and ice cream.
Shabu Tatsu also offers an a la carte option allowing guests to choose the ingredients. All options come with soup, salad, kimchee, namulu, rice and ice cream.
