It was our first time visiting with my family and from the beginning the host and servers were very welcoming. They even brought us complimentary sweet bread and hot chocolate for first timers. The food and service was spectacular! We will definitely come again.

This restaurant is a must! The place is beautiful and the location along Buffalo Bayou is gorgeous. The food is outstanding with perfectly balanced flavors in authentic Mexican cuisine. We had Chile Rellano and Snapper A La Veracruzana as mains after a wonderful Yellowfin Tuna Tostada appetizer. Did I mention the perfect balance of flavors? Flora’s rice that accompanied the Snapper is the best I have ever had. Another plus is Flora has multiple gluten free dishes - I count 29 on their menu. Try to get there just before dusk so you can see the bayou and then the beautiful chandeliers.

We had my girlfriend’s birthday dinner at Maximo and the food was incredible! Very delicious from the appetizers to the main dishes. We had the corn ribs, aguachile oysters, machete de hongos, pork belly carnitas and the taco plate. They were all amazing. Our waiter was great too, I forgot his name but he gave us great recommendations since it was our first time. My lady got the Maximo margarita and another hibiscus drink and she loved them. I had the humble carta blanca for my drink and it was so fresh. Outdoor seating was great, the decorations for dia de los muertos were beautiful. 10/10 experience we WILL be coming back!!

This is my favorite restaurant in the area. The food is always amazing, the staff is always really friendly, and the avocado margarita is the best margarita ever!

We usually visit this place for lunch or dinner, but this was our first time experiencing happy hour, and it did not disappoint! The service was excellent, and the general manager took the time to stop by and chat with us, which is always a nice touch in my book. The food was good, and we had a wonderful time catching up with friends. We’ll definitely be back!
